Why not put a bounty on the heads of Mexican cartels instead? That might just have an itty bitty more effect on our lives than anything to do with Russia or Ukraine.

Plenty of people wanted GWB tried for war crimes, or Nixon for supposed involvement in the downfall of Allende (who apparently committed suicide) in 1973. JFK knew about the plot against Diem in 1963 but apparently expected him to be exiled rather than executed. Nikita Khrushchev was apparently taken by surprise by the assassination of JFK--he didn't order it. (Castro maybe...but maybe it was the CIA and he probably wasn't a CIA agent.)

Putin is no more of war criminal that George W. Bush was. Russia has more of a reason to be in Ukraine than we ever did in Iraq.
If Russia or China were arming Mexico with offensive weapons and funding biolabs with deadly pathogens in them, we wouldn't nor shouldn't tolerate it. Yet, we expect Russian to put up with us doing so Ukraine. The double standard is outrageous.
The majority of the rest of the world hasn't sanctioned Russia or is backing Russia. A large number of countries know out meddling in Ukraine is what set this war off.
There is absolutely not public will for a hot war with Russia. There is NO national interest in Ukraine. It not worth a sanction war adding to inflation or spending tens of billions of dollars on, let alone losing American lives over.
But, our elite that have sucked money of Ukraine have their own financial interest in continuing to do so and that is what this war is really all about.
