Men need to “shut up and listen” to women if they want to address toxic masculinity, actor Benedict Cumberbatch has said.
In a new interview with Sky News following the release of Power Of The Dog, in which Cumberbatch plays a wealthy ranch owner in 1920s Montana, US, he said there is currently not enough recognition of the advantages men have over women in society today.
“There is not enough recognition of abuse, there’s not enough recognition of disadvantages,” he said.

My pronouns are Master and Commander, BTW. Snowflakes flip when I tell them that.
Toxic masculinity is my gender identity.
The continuing War on Boys and Men.
The Left has set up men in a no win position. If there is something men can feel good about themselves for doing well, and it comes naturally to them, they are condemned for it and rewarded for meekly letting a woman do it in their place.
Women degrade whatever men can do well.
A burly and yet attractive young man stands up and shouts: "Who wants to feel like woman one more time!?" whereupon he unbuttons his shirt, takes it off to reveal a body that would make most Olympic athletes feel inferior.
A young lady timidly stands up and says: "I want to feel like a woman one more time!"
He looks at her, hands her his shirt and says: "Then iron my shirt."
That's toxic masculinity.
Yeah
But he is a pussy
Toxic masculinity IMO is when men fail to provide for and protect women and children, but rather exploit them.
Pimps. Wife and child abusers. Rapists. Those who devour widow’s houses. Porn heads and prostitute users. The indolent, drunk and addicted.
We need rather very strong and masculine men, to protect and provide.
Not a problem, Benedict as I have zero interest in addressing toxic masculinity.
“Happiness, is a warm gun…”
Try being a 60 year old white man trying to find a job. You will soon realize how little “power” you have. If you cannot work for yourself…it’s probably not going to happen.
“What is toxic masculinity and how can it be addressed?”
You put it on a Harley and send it to my address.
Toxic masculinity is the attitude women were taught to adopt as part of “feminism.” I assume it sprang up in the 1960’s.
There are many wise women who have been able to discern that this attitude greatly weakens their femininity and generally reduces their quality of life. Often severely.
“Toxic masculinity” is no more than being male and not being ashamed of it, just as the left’s so-called “white supremacy” is nothing more than being white and not being ashamed of it.
I’ve been watching a good series “Y: The last man on Earth”.
Some kind of sudden plague wipes out *everything* with a Y chromosome [except one guy] and one woman makes the pithy observation that “Without men, we’re doomed”.
Yup.
Toxic masculinity: what liberal arts women are taught to hate but secretly long for and hate themselves over it
The elephant in the room on the topic of “toxic masculinity” is American black male culture, which celebrates crime, indolence, and misogyny. You see it often on the football field, where lack of impulse control leads to stupid penalties: roughing the passer, late hits, targeting, and taunting.

~~~
That’s exactly my point.
The very reason that the term “toxic masculinity” exists is for the specific purpose of suppressing both the speech and behavior a very specific category of people, and only them. ANYONE else in any minority or grievance class is exempt from the this oppression.
Obviously I have conducted no such research, but I can garauntee you that if you showed film of a white hetero cis male saying the exact same things, and in a similar manner, to a woman or a ‘person of color’ or an LGBTQ, all of the later would be commended for being assertive, while the former would be labelled “toxic”
I won’t be woke. Go efff yourselves Marxist Byotches.
