That’s exactly my point.
The very reason that the term “toxic masculinity” exists is for the specific purpose of suppressing both the speech and behavior a very specific category of people, and only them. ANYONE else in any minority or grievance class is exempt from the this oppression.
Obviously I have conducted no such research, but I can garauntee you that if you showed film of a white hetero cis male saying the exact same things, and in a similar manner, to a woman or a ‘person of color’ or an LGBTQ, all of the later would be commended for being assertive, while the former would be labelled “toxic”
I hear you. I’m 72. I do have skills that are still in demand, so I have clients rather than employers. I gave up having employers more than ten years ago only to have clients that stick like glue. My niche is designing and building electronic instrumentation and then writing the software for them. I also write the software for the PC side of the wire or radio.
