LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The final frontier has rarely seemed closer than this — at least virtually.
Researchers at one of Switzerland’s top universities are releasing open-source beta software on Tuesday that allows for virtual visits through the cosmos including up to the International Space Station, past the Moon, Saturn or exoplanets, over galaxies and well beyond....

Maybe, just maybe everyone knows what the acronym “VR” means, but standard practice is to define it in parentheses after its first use in an article.
VR should find a way into places where the elderly are weak and bored. Use it as therapy. Let them “go places.” Please, however, keep it clean and wholesome.

But in this particular case, I assumed it stood for Virtual Reality, seeing as it purports to show what visual delights are awaiting our discovery in Space.....and since nobody has actually been out there very far with film in their Brownie Reflex.
OR...you could just Karen directly to Microsoft News (MSN) and Associated Press (AP) because the original poster (OP) used the title from the article...exactly as it was written...per FreeRepublic (FR) rules.
