Following faux conservative outrage at the movement of the All-Star game from Atlanta to Denver, Major League Baseball offered the following reasoning for the move:
An anonymous spokesman with access to inside information said today, “We understand the disappointment of those in Atlanta and Cobb County at the movement of this game. We understand and sympathize with the hundreds of people of color who will lose tens of thousands of dollars due to our decision to move the game to a majority white city with more restrictive voting laws than Georgia,”
“That said, we felt moving the game to a state where the citizens are more compliant to government rule, who are more willing to be subservient to state/federal dictates, over-rides having the game in a state where the citizens are displaying a disturbing amount of independence and exerting states rights to reform their election law as they see fit, not what's in the best interest of the country”.
“We hope the citizens of Georgia will learn a valuable lesson in this, and become more open to change, or, in other words, you know, the thing”.
“We also want to remind the fans that valid picture ID will be required to get into the game”.

Can they just move it to Tehran next time?
I need MLB All Stars like I need a hole in the head.
This is presumably a spoof, yet depressingly close to reality.
Either as Pitcher or Right Field.
I am going to bet their TV ratings for the all stars game will collapse again.
Anybody else?
I know this is satire but after reading many comments on this subject on FR it is obvious, to me anyway, there is a darker reason. I believe that MLB did not like having the game in Atlanta because of its demographics, but felt obligated to. This gave them all the reason they needed to move it to Denver. Denver not Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia, ect.
That’s a great idea. I remember at games in the good ole days the ushers at the stadium would pass out All-Star ballots, the people would punch a hole for their favorite player in each category and then they would collect them in the 7th inning. I was never interested in the actual game though!
WUT? When did that happen? 😂
It is hard to get whiter than Denver.
LOL
It is hard to get whiter than Denver. ..
It is hard to get dirtier than Denver, a home camp to the homeless. The liberal armpit of the state.
That'll show 'em!
The Masters golf tournament looking for another golf course outside state of Georgia.
I will do with baseball what I have been doing with football and basketball, not paying them any attention until they knock off the crap about ‘taking a knee’. I will do the same with baseball until the MLB stops knuckling under to the democrats. The democrats are attacking the Georgia Law because they want to make sure that other states do not use it as a template. I thought the MLB was more grown up!
Atlanta is 54.0% Black, Denver 11%, so they moved it to cracker town with same voting laws!
The memories of the good ole days are the reason I will never watch baseball again. I want to remember the way the game used to be. When I was a kid, I was able to sit in the outfield bleachers and watch the Phillies for $0.50 or $0.75. It cost more to take mass transit to get to and from the game than to watch the game. Times were more innocent and safe too. I'd go with a group of friends when I was 9, 10, 11 years old. I don't think many parents would let their kids do that today. I recall the All-star ballots at the game, and my father used to get them on his lunch break to bring home. He would go over to a bank at lunch and Bill Giles, the owner of the Phillies, would be there handing out stacks of ballots. Yeah, stuffing the ballot box in Philadelphia starts at a young age.
It’s time to let them build their own Stadiums without Taxpayer funds

The Masters is not a PGA run event.
It is a private club tournament, invite only.
The Masters will not be moved from Augusta National.
