WESLEY CHAPEL — Two armed intruders were shot dead and a third was wounded when a homeowner fired on them early Friday, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
The homeowner said he was inside his home playing video games when at about 12:43 a.m. he heard the glass of his laundry room door shatter, according to a sheriff’s report. He saw an arm reach inside to unlock the door. Then the homeowner said he saw a masked man walk in and aim a gun at him.
The homeowner said he grabbed his Glock 9mm pistol, which was just a few feet away, and fired several times at the intruder. He saw the intruder fall down, the report said. Then a second masked intruder entered the house, and the homeowner said he fired at him, too. That intruder also collapsed.
The masked men were aiming their weapons at the homeowner when they were shot, said Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco.

He wanted multiple armed intruders to break into his home and try to murder him? Why would anyone want that? That seems like an insane thing to want.
Kudos to the homeowner for taking down the criminals though. If someone is willing to enter your home with you in it, you have to assume they're perfectly fine with killing you. Burglars who are only there to steal things do not want a confrontation. They want to get in, steal valuable items, and get out without getting caught. Only a murderer is willing to risk a confrontation.
Sgt. York, of WWI fame, took out seven German soldiers who were charging him with bayoneted rifles, using a M1911 45 Colt semi auto.
Said he started at the back and worked forward, as he did when shooting birds. Asked why, he said that if he shot the first guy, the others would stop and shoot him. By taking out the last guy each time, the guys in front didn't know what was happening.
Talk about self control. He must have clanked when he walked.
