What we're seeing now is the result of the March to Academia that started in the 1970s and concluded in the 1990s. History, English and Sociology departments have been overtaken by racialist Neo-Marxists who have inculcated what amounts to a new religion.
Traditionally, conservatives have avoided the Arts and Humanities as a field of study because they don't promise big payouts. And this got us to where we are now; we got MBAs, they got Professorships and shaped a generation of zombies. Right now, it seems like we are (all Conservatives not just Freepers) complaining about it but not actually doing anything. The opposition is much more organized and uniform than we are. The stats of people under 40 who felt the riots were "justified expressions of rage at centuries of oppression" are terrifying. It seems like we are headed for partition. What could be done to reverse it at this point? Is there any optimism here because I could use some.

SOLUTION: Cut back Federal funding to universities, get the government out of the student loan racket, allow student loan debt to be discharged in bankruptcy. These steps will make these lefty universities think twice about churning out commie agitators who have no productive future. The worst offenders will go under.
McCarthy didn’t take on Hollywood at all. He took on the Army and the State Department. The ‘60s radicals went to Academia after they saw Nixon’s 1972 blow out win. They realized they needed to shape a new generation from the inside.

There is a reason the Left is pushing for free college. I’ve heard some suggest that K-12 public school education be made mandatory and the abolition of private schools.

Also, conservatives who employ people need to not privilege college graduates - or at least not those from big name schools.
It is too late. Nothing can be peacefully resolved now.
I don’t think most people even go to college. And not all those who do are indoctrinated.
Mr P and all my kids and I all went to college whether for full degrees or partial or credentials. We are all still christian conservatives.
