India-Made Anti-Cancer Device Cytotron Gets ‘Breakthrough’ Designation From US FDA

The anti-cancer device, Cytotron, developed by Bangalore-based Rajah Vijay Kumar received a “breakthrough” designation from the U.S. FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health for the treatment of liver, pancreatic and breast cancers.

Having this designation means that there is evidence that the drug or therapy that treats a serious condition, in this case, a device, demonstrates “substantial improvement on a clinically significant endpoint(s) over available therapies.” With it, the review and development of the treatment will be expedited so that it will be available as soon as it can be concluded that the benefits justify the risks, considering the seriousness of the disease as well as the availability of other treatments.

"It is a great feeling that after so many years of hard work, against all odds, an institution like the USFDA is designating our work as a breakthrough in the treatment of three types of cancer," Kumar said.

Apart from Cytotron’s merits as a cancer treatment, the FDA also commended the fact that the device is all made in India with hardly any imported components.

Cytotron is already approved and being used to treat cancer in countries like UAE, Hong Kong, Mexico and Malaysia.

How Cytotron Works?

Cytotron, which Kumar developed after 30 years of research, uses fast radio bursts (FRB) to communicate with cellular command and control to regulate a specific gene or protein. Specifically, Cytotron first alters the protein pathways of a protein called P53 to induce death in cancer cells, then it stops the spread of cancer by inhibiting the epithelial-mesenchymal transition cells responsible for the spread of cancer.

Simply put, Cytotron is specifically designed to cause the death of cancer cells and to stop it from spreading, features that are very important considering that a significant percentage of cancer patients die from metastasis or the spread of cancer.

Cancer Treatments

Different cancers require different treatments, but the treatment a patient is given may also vary depending on the size or progression of cancer. In some cases, a patient may undergo just one type of treatment, but others may require a combination of two or more. Some patients may also opt to participate in clinical trials for new possible treatments.

While the ultimate goal of cancer treatments is to free patients from their cancer and allow them to live a normal life span, in some severe cases, the goal may simply be to slow the growth of cancer and allow the patients to live symptom-free for as long as possible.

God bless these guys for this work. I know all of us has been impacted by cancer in our lifetime and we all know how devastating it can be...I was DX’d with PCA in 2007...

India? They can't even make a good condom!

A million faulty condoms recalled in Uganda

I am intrigued by the methodology they are utilizing. I've often wondered if the proper frequency radio waves could be used to implement specific biological changes. I had visualized them as destroying bacteria or something, but it never occurred to me that they could cause specific and controllable changes in cellular chemistry.

Very interesting.

50 years ago, we used a cyclotron to generate particle beams for "breakthrough" experimental cancer treatments. Now, it's the cytotron, though this device uses Rotational Field Quantum Magnetic Resonance, not remotely similar to a cyclotron. Thank goodness it applies to breast cancer, or it would never get any funding.

I have thought about it as well.

Like a crystal wine glass being shattered by a sound, a cancer cell must have a fundamental frequency that it is vulnerable to, that would leave healthy cells undisturbed.

Different cancers would, of course, require different frequencies, maybe even changing from person to person.

But i believe it is possible...................

"...they could cause specific and controllable changes in cellular chemistry."

Cool stuff, but equally scary. I imagine what would happen if humans cells were easily controlled by radio waves. Imagine what someone could do.

This seems more sophisticated than just choosing the right frequency. From what I have read so far, it's circularly polarized short bursts of rf, and judging by the picture, it may require the body being in a large magnetic field to work correctly.

This guy has unlocked some kind of resonance of which we were previously unaware, and it has some sort of specific and controllable chemical effect on cellular tissue.

My original thinking is that just getting bad cells to absorb the energy from the RF would break their structure through heat generation, but this seems more clever than that.

There are a lot of less complicated ways to torture or kill someone, so I would think most uses of this sort of technology would be benign.

Of course, bad people will warp anything into something bad if given the opportunity.

I saw that and I have read it. It contains a bit more information, but not really as much as I would like. I would like to better understand just what changes are occurring and what are the frequency, period and energy of these short bursts.

Thanks. That gives the range of frequencies involved, but it doesn't explain how they affect the "cell signaling process using the TMP pathways".

Probably some sort of chemical resonance with certain frequencies, not unlike water's ability to absorb microwave radiation, even though the molecule is thousands of times smaller than that frequency's wavelength.

Amazing stuff.
