Thanks. That gives the range of frequencies involved, but it doesn't explain how they affect the "cell signaling process using the TMP pathways".

Probably some sort of chemical resonance with certain frequencies, not unlike water's ability to absorb microwave radiation, even though the molecule is thousands of times smaller than that frequency's wavelength.
