Craig Silverman, as a talk show host was essentially an employed entertainer. His show attracted an audience, advertising was sold and the producers made money. In essence he is no different that Colin Kaepernick. When his act or actions resulted in a smaller audience, this cost his employers money. They had every right to fire him. What is more, they had every right to fire him in a manner that achieved maximum attention and interest in their radio show. Don’t cry for Silverman or Kaepernick. They still have every right to say what they like but have absolutely no guarantee to be employed or be paid. Its the same for all of us.
Yavonovichs testimony clearly demonstrated she viewed her job as doin* what she wanted rather than representing the policies of her boss.
This DA seems to have wanted to do the same.
CNN will hire them. Soon CNN will have more of these A$$clowns holding microphones than viewers.... but they will at least be speaking for their bosses..
Good!
The left HATES it when we play by their rules. Trumpers using ole Soul Alinsky’s tricks!
Once Ben Shapiro got a show, all bets were off when it came to horrible speaking voices.
He probably never heard of this ambassador until the media took her up as a hero.
Republican candidate for president Joe Walsh called Silvermans termination pathetic.
Well somethings pathetic that’s for sure.
“Yovanovitch is an American hero.”
Why? Did she win some great battle against terrorism?
Jay Sekulow said the same thing on air. That after her private testimony (which was described as emotional) she was brought back for public testimony simply for sympathy, that she had nothing on the phone call.
Yovanovitch is an American hero. I have seen countless witnesses testify and she was one of the all-time finest. Her poise, courage and credibility inspire me... I see corruption and blatant dishonesty by President and his cronies. I also see bullying/smearing of American heroes w/courage to take oath and tell truth. Their bravery inspires me, he wrote.
IOW, he's a CINO nevertrumper who never belonged on the air in the first place.
I believe he was fired because he talked about appearing on other radio stations. If one of the CNN hosts talked about doing a gig at Fox News, how long would they last at CNN?
Like Facebook and Twitter, the radio station had the right to control content.
She defended the rights of bureaucrats around the world—to stay in their jobs, pursuing whatever agenda suits them—forever!
(I guess that is a “human right” these days....) :-(
Coming from a big city, that was always refreshing.......
Silverman has always been a wishy-washy nothing.
A lib station will take him.
He can work for NPR.
There has to be more to the story... this is wrong. Maybe he threatened Trump?
You mean he wasn’t fired for mentioning Eric Ciaramella?
Local talk radio is becoming a thing of the past.
Even the local hosts I hear in my city take callers from markets in other states.
With that is reluctance to discuss the candidates for mayor, what’s going on at City Hall, etc.
And those cities have no local host.
