One of the most enduring myths about George Washington is that his dentures were made of wood.

While this tall tale isn't backed up in truth, Washington's problems with his dental hygiene are long-chronicled and are likely to have cause the leader great pain.

What we do know is that Washington turned to dentures made of hippo ivory and human 'slave teeth' to try and cure his woes.

The true story is revealed in an in-depth article by William Maloney, clinical associate professor of dentistry at New York University for The Conversation.

I heard GW ruined his teeth from using them to open walnuts. PJ O'Rourke explained the one reason he would not live in the past: dentistry.

Wait till the Liberally Outraged hear about this.
They’ll consider it just another reason to paint over most if not all public murals depicting G. Washington.

If that legend is true, GW must have had great teeth... for a while.

What ruined his teeth was more likely the cherry bounce.

Well that’s it. Going to have to rename the state and the district. Plus rip his pic off the money. Then start a national apology followed by reparations. That’ll do it.

Wait till the Liberally Outraged hear about this.

William Schockley — one of the three white men who invented the transistor — was an out-and-out racist, at least by today's standards. He was also the manager of the group, Bardeen and Brittan having absolutely zero interest in all the paperwork and communication with management.

Without his invention, there would be no internet, no iPhones, no tablets, no PCs, no servers, no routers, no WiFi, no Bluetooth, no filesharing, no Netflix, no Yahoo, no Google, no Microsoft, no Apple, no Cisco, no TI, no Qualcomm, no Facebook, no Instagram, no Pinterest, none of it. Zero.

They going to boycott all that, wipe its history off the record?

Washington was a racist and a bigot. So was Jefferson, Hamilton, Grant and Franklin.

Anyone with images of these rascals on pieces of paper inside their wallet should forward them to me immediately.

I will correctly dispose of these racist images.

The poor used to sell their teeth, if they were in good condition, in the 18th and 19th century. Check out Les Miserables. Those were different times although when you think of body harvesting today...

Has anyone noticed the acceleration of attacks on every bit of our history?

Some are full throttle frontal attacks and others are much more subtle.

It is a dangerous thing to allow social engineers to use simple realities of the past painted as evil to demonize our country and our heritage.

Don’t fall prey to useful idiots and don’t become a useful idiot. Think about the logical end to all of these assertions by progressive commie wannabes and think and reply accordingly. Our collective soul as a country depends on the ability to logically approach our issues. Emotionalism is the way of fools.

Well, it’s only the right thing to do. He probably pulled the teeth out of his own slaves’ mouths. He was a monster. The capital city’s name will have to be changed as well as the District’s—Columbus was a monster as well. Don’t forget the Columbia River, that’s right out. And cities named after Jefferson and Jackson both owned slaves and Jackson murdered and deported “native Americans”. Sign makers will make a lot of money.

As I've said before, I expect American Graffiti to come under attack at some point. All white kids having white kid fun.

***Columbus was a monster as well.***

The new world was going to be found, if not by Columbus, then by Pedro Álvares Cabral.
Think of Cabral, Ohio, Cabral South America, Cabral River...Cabral University..

“In 1500, to India, his due,
Cabral sailed the Ocean Blue...”

Quite a ring doesn’t it.
