Again, with all due respect, and forgive me if I'm too big for my britches, but I have a possible solution.

I hear tell that the position of administrative moderator is a voluntary position and that the "mods" run their own program.

What if were assigned as one. You must have observed, during your studies of what really goes on this thread, that she is fair-minded, judicious, patient, and restrained. She knows how to handle perceived authority and doesn't allow it to go to her head. She wouldn't abuse the position or the "power".

If she were willing, and I don't know that she is, you and your team should consider granting her the position.

I see it as a win/win. No more headaches for you. No more headaches for us.

Whaddya think, admin mod?

p.s. I'm only addressing this to you cause you appear to want dialogue.

Certainly you could be quite right.

However, historically, when admin has thrown something to FREEPERS for a response, they were quite willing to have at least a moderately robust dialogue about what they threw out to the troops--for at least a few pages.

I think a failure to respond cooperatively to the mod's query would be MORE rude.

Jocko, we’ve been doing well until our thread fully engaged disruptors, which is true of any regular thread on the forum.
If too many have too much of an allergy for the religion forum—why not merely a “philosophical caucus” or “social caucus” thread—maybe in a larger, more general TRUMP Forum or Chat or whatever such.

Moving to a “no debate” thread would kill our friendly debates about theories and data that we use to refine our thinking and build our knowledge base. There’s no way to define a line clearly enough so that friendly debates could be separated from disruption debates.

We’ve grown through our struggles and realize that we are better off not engaging those who arrive to provoke. We’ve got this.
