CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. -- A 10-year-old girl charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of a 6-month-old baby told investigators that she panicked after dropping the infant, and stomped on the child's head to stop the crying, according to a sheriff in western Wisconsin.
Handcuffed and wearing a leather restraint around her waist, the girl sobbed as she appeared in Chippewa County Circuit Court on Monday. A judge set bond at $50,000. State law requires the case, at least initially, to be held in adult court, according to prosecutors.
First responders were called Oct. 30 to a licensed home day care in the Town of Tilden near Chippewa Falls. The baby was found to be unresponsive and bleeding from the head, according to officials. The baby was rushed to HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, then airlifted to Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare hospital about 90 miles (145 kilometers) to the west in St. Paul. He died Nov. 1.

As awful as this was, how on earth can a 10 years old be charged as an adult ???

While I agree with you there was a reason this child was removed from her biological parents. Maybe just maybe her foster parents should not have had her any where near the baby?

I guess God did that to keep us sane.
It is tragic that children under 4 years of age are placed in day care. Those four years are the most important of a child’s life, creating the sense of security, confidence, and the assurance of being loved in their world. It should be the last choice of how to care for wee ones.
Like I said maybe there is a reason she was removed from her biological parents? Maybe we just found out why?

I just don’t know anymore. She was crying in the court room. She did not mean too! Stupid foster parents! Why was she even near the kids!!????
Sometimes God presents Himself to children independent of, or parallel to, a religion.
Anyhow, maybe the girl carried on the attitude she picked up on in the day “care.”
This is killing me and I blame the stupid ass foster parents too.

I received virtually no religious instruction as a child, and to this day have no faith in such matters. And yet after more than half a century my entire criminal career consists of two minor traffic tickets.

Many are severely damaged individuals. They often come into this world with addictions from their mother in the womb and subsequent physical, cognitive or emotional problems. They are then often abused as children, maltreated, and neglected as well, which is why they wind up bouncing around in the foster system.
If you need evidence of the damage done by the destruction of the family and socially permissive attitudes on drugs and sex, look no further.
Its a long, hard slog to normalcy for many of them.

You know I agree. Why do these bitches have these sweet babies only to toss them in a dirty, nasty day care? Why have a baby at all if you don’t want it? It’s not going to be a baby forever. You can’t wait 5 years until the child goes to Kindergarten? Really? This was a really bad mother. These were bad foster parents. I feel sorry for this 10 year old, this baby that died and every kid stuck in a dirty nasty ass day care but that is it.
