Children are amoral which is why they must, at a very early age, adopt a religion and an imposing ethical standard from their parents. We used to know this.
As awful as this was, how on earth can a 10 years old be charged as an adult ???
A wicked thing, a very wicked thing, and yet it is to wonder where she learned it and/or failed to learn better. Wickedness often carries from person to person.

It is tragic that children under 4 years of age are placed in day care. Those four years are the most important of a child’s life, creating the sense of security, confidence, and the assurance of being loved in their world. It should be the last choice of how to care for wee ones.
This is the saddest thing I have seen in quite awhile.

My niece works with foster children.
Many are severely damaged individuals. They often come into this world with addictions from their mother in the womb and subsequent physical, cognitive or emotional problems. They are then often abused as children, maltreated, and neglected as well, which is why they wind up bouncing around in the foster system.
If you need evidence of the damage done by the destruction of the family and socially permissive attitudes on drugs and sex, look no further.
Its a long, hard slog to normalcy for many of them.
Aside from the mother’s, “boyfriends” one of the greatest dangers to babies are older children as they are often unable to properly care for an infant.
Heavenly Father, I pray that you watch over both of these children. Take them both into your loving embrace and fill them with the Holy Spirit. “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” I Jesus’ name we pray.
Who ever was supposed to be in charge should be on trial as well...for murder.
What has happened in this girl’s live to make her first response to a crying child to be stomp the baby until it stops cryin Get???
No 10 year old should be holding a baby that small.
I’ve seen way too many pre-teen (almost always) girls holding babies on their hips that they can barely hold onto while the lazy piece of work excuse for a *mother* goes about as queen of England.
I just want to smack that woman right upside the head.
That’s just asking for trouble expecting a pre-teen to try to hold a squirmy baby when she’s not nearly physically big enough to.
Besides, it’s not HER baby. It’s the mom’s and mother hood comes with responsibility. Which means you don’t foist the child care off onto other siblings.
There’s NO WAY that girl should have been allowed to hold any child in that *day care*. The parents are responsible here too.
CPS in that beck of the woods needs to be asked some hard questions as well as which ever agency licensed that family.
It doesn’t occur to many people these days, that adults should be watching the children and preventing such things from happening. Those who should have been watching them should be charged.
Really really sad and disgusting.
We don’t raise 10yr olds like we used to I guess.
The State is also at fault for the death, by the way, because of its faulty policies, immunities and lack of employee accountability. Generally, on average, more children do better with their own parents than under the control of government.
When I was 10 years old, I remember watching my toddler brother with my 12 yr old brother once in a while. Not a baby, but knew not to stomp on little one’s head. Never would have occurred to me.
Not just in foster care. Children are not around family units anymore. No one teaches children how to care for others. Just drop them off somewhere. Where do children even learn how to treat babies? No where. But where strong family units are in place and children have access to see how to care for babies etc the story is different. And by family units I include extended families. I was horrified by this incident but at the same time where has this child been taught how to treat a baby gently? It isn’t knowledge a kid is born with, it’s taught by example and explanation.
When my soul cannot get any more sick of just heart-wrenching misery day in and out, there is this. I just shut the internet down, grab a drink and go outside.

So it was a home daycare.
The folks running it should be charged not the girl. They should not have let the girl manage other kids.
Save that for your own kids (siblings among themselves).
