Where do you think your moral compass came from? Family? Society? Simply innate to your being? I'm not being flippant - because I don't know. Religion helps many, but I know many decent people who claim no religious belief or influence whatsoever.

This, I believe is the issue.
On occasion, as a teacher, I saw damaged children whose coldness and lack of empathy was chilling.
Children, deprived of the proper early socialization, often develop poor social skills; some may become a menace to society.
Some of us learned the hard way to teach our children what our parents failed to teach us.

Happens in day cares more than you know. This is the worst I’ve ever heard of.

She was in the foster care system! I know she was not
Who ever was supposed to be in charge should be on trial as well...for murder.
What has happened in this girl’s live to make her first response to a crying child to be stomp the baby until it stops cryin Get???
Feral children have feral children, and there is NO system to cure this problem now.
No 10 year old should be holding a baby that small.
I’ve seen way too many pre-teen (almost always) girls holding babies on their hips that they can barely hold onto while the lazy piece of work excuse for a *mother* goes about as queen of England.
I just want to smack that woman right upside the head.
That’s just asking for trouble expecting a pre-teen to try to hold a squirmy baby when she’s not nearly physically big enough to.
Besides, it’s not HER baby. It’s the mom’s and mother hood comes with responsibility. Which means you don’t foist the child care off onto other siblings.
There’s NO WAY that girl should have been allowed to hold any child in that *day care*. The parents are responsible here too.
Fair question. Family first, certainly. I’ve also been influenced by many authors; Robert Heinlein and Ayn Rand come to mind.
Did your parents instill an ethical moral standard? Whatever it takes.
But children do not have moral principles which is why they must be watched. It’s not their fault - their brains aren’t developed. It’s their parents’ fault for not watching them properly. And society’s fault for allowing single parents, drug addiction and all the rest of the corruption.

Certainly, although the subject of religion and/or God was only mentioned in passing, if at all.
CPS in that beck of the woods needs to be asked some hard questions as well as which ever agency licensed that family.
It doesn’t occur to many people these days, that adults should be watching the children and preventing such things from happening. Those who should have been watching them should be charged.
Really really sad and disgusting.
We don’t raise 10yr olds like we used to I guess.
