The Florida Division of Elections (7:15 AM) has just released the "Mail-In" ballot voting activity voting covering Thursday, October 18, 2018. They are as follows:

Yep. No major changes from yesterday although that real-time tracker does show a GOP pick-up (of course don’t know counties though).

I'm independent (remember: Boehner, Ryan, no-name, turtlehead, the flake, etc.)

I voted as strictly red as I could (what is wrong with FL-14 with no r or independent competitor to the rat incumbent?).

I'm mailing my ballot from RAF Alconbury today.

Thanks for the info. Blows the bubble but shows no blue wave either. There are a lot of new Puerto Rican votes to offset which is a worry.

We are still slightly ahead in Miami-Dade - very surprising.

On the other hand, we are tied in Sarasota - should be slightly ahead.

Also up to 3.2 million VBM requests.

Miami-Dade is surprising. We actually won the VBM vote there in 2014 by a few thousand but lost it by over 21,000 in 2016. Anything resembling a push there has to be good I’d think. In Miami-Dade 22% of Rs returned their ballot versus 16% of D (state averagea almost 25%).

Sarasota will be a county to watch for sure. In 2016 Trump got almost 62% of the actual vote on election day so let’s hope for higher turnout then.

Early voting in some counties start as early as Monday next week!

I don’t believe these early numbers published by the SoS include a few of the red counties that were affected by the hurricane. This is published on FL’s election page:

NOTICE: Due to Hurricane Michael, the following affected counties have been unable to report for the 2018 General Election since October 9, 2018: Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Washington. As offices open and services are restored, information will be posted once available.

I know Gov Scott signed an EO yesterday giving these counties more opportunities to absentee and early vote.

Yes these counties particularly Bay will be very important in terms of votes. Obviously all these counties need to get back on their feet.

Man that’s some great work! Like all the pink and red. You know I feel a better comparison this year is 2016 and not 2014.

Even Michael McDonald on Twitter last night said turnout is shaping up like a presidential election pretty much everywhere.

Mid-Morning adjustment of “Florida, Mail-In” voting activity.

Republicans in three hours increased their lead over Democrat “Mail-In” ballots from 45,474 votes to 46,104, votes, a 630 Mail-In vote lead.

As “early voting” days begin early next week, we should have a good idea of how this race is shaping up by next Friday, one week from today.

GOP Mail-In voters, keep them ballots coming at the fast pace you are now moving at. Every vote for DeSantis counts!!! Democrat, Andrew Gillum must be politically destroyed, along with the entire Democrat Party in Florida and across the entire nation!!!

In NC:

“Whites are 69% of voter pool, but 3/4 of early votes so far.

Black/African-Americans are 22% of voter pool, but 20% of early votes.

Nearly 3/4 of NC early votes (accepted absentee onestop (in-person)) are from voters over the age of 54.”

AZ data in for today. 287,000 total votes. R-45% D-32.1%

According to AZ data guru, GOP advantage at this point in 2014 was 9%.

So we are ahead of 2014 by 3.9%.

You may have already seen this.

Thanks. It sure looks like Reps are out performing.

The media will go berserk if Reps hold the House.
