A senior scientist has given what has been described as a "highly offensive" presentation about the role of women in physics, the BBC has learned.
At a workshop organised by Cern, Prof Alessandro Strumia of Pisa University said that "physics was invented and built by men, it's not by invitation".
He said male scientists were being discriminated against because of ideology rather than merit.
He was speaking at a workshop in Geneva on gender and high energy physics.
Prof Strumia has since defended his comments, saying he was only presenting the facts . . .

Ultimately the truth wins out.
All women have to do is meet the standards that men have to meet. How hard is that?
He’s not factually wrong. He’s emotionally wrong.
Thanks Governor Dinwiddie.

Dragging women into a field where they don’t want to be , Hmmm
WTF does that mean?
*Gasp!* *Shriek!!*
Oh, my gosh. The pantywaist, bow tied Brits at the Beeb are horrified! "Why I never..."
What kind of scientist would be bothered by a plain truth?
Math and science is not dependent on gender, it is dependent on knowledge and research. Marie Curie was a pioneer in the study of radiological materials. She didn’t succeed because she was a woman, but because she worked at it.
> he was only presenting the facts
The worst crime imaginable in 2018.
Not the least because she could work all night ...
...because she brought her own light with her.
“described as a “highly offensive” presentation”

Bout time these people learn how to deal with being offended. Just say “Harrumpphh” and then get over it.
It seems that “senior scientists” cannot be wrong about global warming. But now we’re on the horns of a dilemma because what he said was so “highly offensive”. I would say he’s factually inaccurate too, as there have been a few prominent women in the history of physics, e.g. Lise Meitner. Basically the “scientific community” is no smarter than anyone else, just far more drilled down into their field. This could be a good popcorn moment though.
“Of course, in normal daily life, there's not much real difference between a man with an IQ of 105 and a woman with an IQ of 100. The real difference only emerges as we rise up the IQ scale to the sort of level that the really top jobs require and as we drop lower down the scale - because men, as it turns out, have a much wider range of intelligence than women.
As a result, there are not only far more men with high IQs than there are women, but there are also, as I'm sure any woman would tell you, far more stupid men around than there are stupid women.”

SJWs have gotten so out of line with their fantastical and absurd demands that a backlash has begun. President Trump is a symptom of this backlash and not the cause. The next 10 to 20 years will see the slaughter of many sacred cows and the bursting of fantasy bubbles. Men are getting red-pill suppositories without lube.
She dropped out for a reason: she was at the bottom of the class. Today she would be encouraged to stay in the program and heavily incentivized to "succeed," and given the small number of women in the field would almost certainly get an accelerated promotion through a tenure track position while many more qualified males were stuck in postdocs for a decade.
He’s not incorrect, he’s politically incorrect.
It’s leftist speak. Gobbledygook.
