Trump commented that he’s letting General Mattis deal with it.
This is not good for North Korea.

"Apparently it can reach anywhere in the world."

Anywhere in the world? Maybe if they ship it fed ex but I doubt it would find much if they tried launching one. I bet it would be like one of those 4th of July skyrockets that go up about twenty feet then start spinning around and chases everyone then blows up under a lawn chair.

I'm not trying to diminish the threat but sometimes they tend to exaggerate their capabilities just a bit.

I am familiar with all of that, but do they actually exist in reality, not theory? If they actually exist then they would be very useful here as a non-nuclear way to deliver some stunning blows.

Probably, but no one is going to confirm it, and the numbers would be very small due to cost.

It probably cost about $10k to send a pound of payload to space. A 20 ft. tungsten rod could easily weigh 16,000 pounds.

He’d sing a different tune if Trump had the full support of the government but he doesn’t and everyone knows it

Mattis is soft. Until Trump has the support of the full government buying is going to happen

You know the Airforce has had those “secret” launches over the years and then there was that “rocket plane” flight that went of for what.. a year maybe before coming back down to Earth.

I understand that if they do exist it is in secret, but is it a known secret like Israeli nukes, or a secret secret like .... Or is it just pie in the sky stuff?

Or Russia or Ukraine. Lots of speculation their engines are from Ukraine.

I bet they couldn’t hit DC with it. I hope they don’t realize how Americans worship and revere Washington DC. That would wreck our morale if they nuked DC.

We better all keep this a close secret!/s

Remember that, before the A-Bombs, we had conducted almost unmolested strategic bombing of Japan from June ‘44 to August ‘45. Their defenses could not reach our high altitude B-29s. The most commonly cited estimate of Japanese casualties from the raids is 333,000 killed and 473,000 wounded, but other estimates put total fatalities in the 241,000 to 900,000 range. The loss was mostly civilian life, but the raids contributed to a large decline in industrial production.

The fanatics would not quit in the face of assured destruction. It took the 2 A-Bombs to finish them off.

We need to have someone covertly sell him a “Gaydar” system to help in targeting the West Coast.

But in reality it would cause it to go straight up and then come straight down.

N Korea has the bomb and the ability to hit anywhere.. with the help of China and bill clinton.. and the guy in N korea is nuts..he would do anything. He has to be stopped. It’s a messy situation but if we don’t stop him, he will try to take over. China has to get it through their head that they are vulnerable if we hit n korea. China can.. could have.. stopped the crazy guy.. they have not done so.

One hit and China might take our word seriously.

Oh, I think Kim will be getting what’s coming to him.
The question is when? Next week, next summer, next presidential election year?
And by whom? The Saudis, Israelis , the South Koreans, or we, the Americans?
