What is the endgame of this quick demise of both Weinstein and Hillary? We did we see Hillary try and duck out of some interviews because she broke a toe and praised Socialized UK Medicine for getting “well” so quickly.

Why all of this now? Are Weinstein, Hillary, Bill and NBC/Comcast clearing out the Democrat “Dead Weight” in order to go full Bernie?
There is no other avenue to go for the Democrat Party except full blown Socialism. What is preventing them from doing so? Hard core entrenched Pelosi, Schumer, Cuomo and Hillary.
Can you just see how Hillary is trying to embrace European Socialism by saying how great her medical care was as she broke her toe falling down the stairs in high heels and Chardonnay? Coffee? “Side of Beef” anybody?

I think the "Why all of this now" answer is because they believe that if they don't do it now, they'll never get another chance, at least within the lifetimes of the more powerful individuals, people who grew up in the 1960s and 1970s, and who drank the Kool-ade and totally buy in.
The USSR is gone, free-market solutions are being adopted even in places like China and various South American countries, and they feel that it's now, or never.
They also look at the younger people, the millennials and those even younger (Gen Z?) and say "these kids are so goofy and fragmented, they'll never get anything done."
They thought that President Hillary would give them a total of 16 years in which to completely revolutionize America. "Fundamental Change is Coming to America," to use the famous words of Obama.
Trump destroyed that whole plan, although many of the commies and socialists think he only delayed it. But they've decided that the demographics and the economics are not looking favorable in the out-years, so the time is now, or never.
You are missing the other more important axis of Team Donkey: the race issue and gender issue.
Having a Black, Brown or Female candidate is mandatory for the Dems.
Socialist politics are important, but not as important as identity politics.

We're seeing the 1968 through 1972 period, where the Demwits lost control of the Senate and the White House, and doubled down on McGovern (and his not one, but two, running mates). When Agnew resigned and Nixon (per the Constitution) appointed Ford as VP, Bella Abzug, figuring Nixon was ultimately going to be forced from office, wanted the Speaker of the House, Carl Albert, to appoint a different successor (completely illegally), saying, "don't let those bastards keep this!" Without a doubt. The old liberal establishment of the Democrat party has been discredited. The “social justice,” “progressive” Marxist Left, who explicitly hate liberals and for whom even Obama was too moderate, is in the ascendency. They believe that, after four years of Trump, Republicans will be so unpopular that they will have their big chance to put a full-blown leftist like them in the White House with a Congressional majority. I hope they are wrong, but I have my concerns.
