For libtards, it's not about the humor, but about the intensity of the attack on their enemies. I don't think conservatives are that way. I remember when my wife and I went to see "An American Carol". This was a conservative-themed comedy with a Michael Moore type filmmaker being shown the ghosts of famous Americans past a la "A Christmas Carol". I wanted to like it, and some of the message worked, but it just wasn't very funny. There were a few good jokes, but not many. Conservatives only laugh if it is funny. If An American Carol had been a conservative bashing/America bashing film starring Alec Baldwin, libs would have considered it hilarious.

I think you’re right that the left is self-destructing.

IMO, Colbert along with the media/Hollywood have slowed the process by covering for the lies of the leftwing politicians. Hitlery and 0vomit have speeded up the process because:

1. Their lies are so massive that even the complicit media couldn’t cover and spin fast enough.

2. They are so personally repugnant that even their base doesn’t really like them. Hitlery is so repulsive that most of her “fans” were people who were seriously mentally ill. 0vomit is such an idiot, that only those with room temperature IQs can say with a straight face that he has any qualifications whatsoever to hold office - any office.

Same here. Really liked the Frazier Crane show, and Kelsey Grammer, so bought American Carol on DVD. Walked away to putter as I do when something doesn't work for me. Didn't even ... re-wind it. Colbert is a rectum squared. No socially redeeming, artistic or comedic value: TV porn.
