Simple: Both Republican, Senate Leader, Mitch McConnell & Republican, House Speaker, Paul Ryan should cancel any Congressional recesses for the rest of this year, immediately.
These lazy, good for nothing, non-productive, low life Senators & House members, both Democrats & Republicans are on recess far too much, living the life of rich, elite, scum & vermin...period.
Bottom line...there was plenty and ample time to pass Obamacare Repeal & Replacement, Massive Tax Reform & Infrastructure Renewal, since January 3, 2017. Nothing has happened. Please vote "YAY or NAY" on this critical issue.
And.....McConnell and Ryan must go.
The incumbent Republican party is in for a massive loss these coming years. They are going against our vote the past election. They’ve shown their true colors.
Here are the number of legislative days for the House and Senate each year in recent history:
2016: 131 in the House, 165 in the Senate.
2015: 157 in the House, 168 in the Senate.
2014: 135 in the House, 136 in the Senate.
2013: 159 in the House, 156 in the Senate.
2012: 153 in the House, 153 in the Senate.
2011: 175 in the House, 170 in the Senate.
2010: 127 in the House, 158 in the Senate.
2009: 159 in the House, 191 in the Senate.
2008: 119 in the House, 184 in the Senate.
2007: 164 in the House, 190 in the Senate.
2006: 101 in the House, 138 in the Senate.
2005: 120 in the House, 159 in the Senate.
2004: 110 in the House, 133 in the Senate.
2003: 133 in the House, 167 in the Senate.
2002: 123 in the House, 149 in the Senate.
2001: 143 in the House, 173 in the Senate.
Actually, I'd prefer they recess for the rest of the year. Just stay away from Washington DC for a while. All Congress seems to be capable of doing is hobbling Trump's agenda.
“No man’s life, liberty or property are safe while the Legislature is in session.”.........Gideon John Tucker (February 10, 1826 July 1899) American lawyer, newspaper editor and politician.
Yay! Get to work repeal / replace Obamacare!
NAY.
Trump needs the recess to make recess appointments for all the open positions whose confirmations the Rats are slow-rolling.
Trump could make a lot of recess appointments...
Give them a week off so Trump can make a few hundred recess appointments. Then call them back and turn the AC off in the Democrat offices only. Tell them it’s to combat Global Warming.
I DONT WANT THEM TO “REPLACE”
THERE IS nothing they can do to “replace”that is not ANOTHER stupid government idea
Professional Congress Critters = Useless deadbeats & incompetents. Term Limits and citizen politicians is what we need. Both the Democrat & Republican establishment low life, vermin need to be tossed into the acid cesspool where they are rightly belong.
Go POYUS, Donald J. Trump....MAGA!!!
I’d like to see them go into recess now. The problem is the Rats and the Rino’s are threatening to do the Pro Forma trick to keep Trump from making any recess appointments.
No congressperson is safe while DJT is president. I think they (House and Senate) are afraid of what he will do while they are gone. They all know he is a workaholic who sleeps 4 hours a day. A month with him having control of the message - must give them shivers in the heat of summer
Getting them to vote “Yea” would be like getting them to give up Congresscare.
And put ankle monitoring devices on them!#!
They don't care.
“They don’t care. “
We don’t care about them, either. Time to show them the damned door!
NAY.
Remember that Samuel Clemens (a/k/a Mark Twain) quipped:
“No one’s life, libery, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.”
(Note: The quote is sometimes attributed to one Gideon J. Tucker, instead of Mark Twain.)
Let them go home then President Trump can sign the order that they have the same rules as everyone else has for 0care.
They will be right back in double time.
