After eight long years, I am finally able to use the prefix, 'President', in front of the name of the current White House occupant's name.
I can't tell you how good that feels to me.

For the first time in 8 years, I can smile when I see the White House on TV, knowing who is living in it now.
I am looking forward to watching the fireworks on the Fourth of July!

Same here. NOT once did I call obamatard “president”. I think I slipped a bit with p Resident’, but that was as close as it got. And never called the sasquatch by her real name either..

A blessing is a form of empowerment.
And naming a person or thing is the most basic form of blessing.
Thus, for the past eight years I have done everything I could to avoid speaking the name or (presumptive) office of The Usurper.
If anyone wonders at the prudence of such an extreme I would encourage them to read this highly illuminating article on the true nature of the name that The Usurper picked for itself:
http://www.forbes.com/2008/10/26/obama-iran-ahmadinejad-oped-cx_at_1026taheri.html
And in that same spirit, I welcome with most heartfelt thanks for his personal sacrifice President Donald Trump.

I have had the American flag affixed upside down in my car for the past eight years. It felt so good to turn it upright on Friday. Sadly, only two people ever made a comment about my flag—both were retired military.

President Donald J. Trump. It felt so good to type this salutation. It has been eight long years since I have used this in reference to the resident of the White House.

I can now put the stamps on letters right side up now. Been waiting eight years to do that. Thanks to President Donald J. Trump.

Not ONCE, in eight long years, did I ever allow myself to call our nation's acting CIC, 'President'. Not in print - not in spoken word - nor in my personal thoughts.
Until now, it never fully registered with me, how much of a personal sacrifice it was, to experience that self imposed void.

I actually poked around
whitehouse.gov for a few minutes today .. it's been enemy territory for so long that it felt quite odd to do so.
