I hope everything works out for you. I’ve been a software engineer for 30 years. In March I got laid off. It turned out to be the absolute best thing that ever happened to me because I landed my dream job with an AWESOME company.
And Obama had nothing to do with it. I thanked God then I thanked me.

I have been unemployed since 12/15. Sold my house in NY and relocated down to Richlands, NC in July and bought a house in August. It took a few months to get settled and get my new home in order. Started looking for a job in October and still have not found anything. Had a MISERABLE Christmas but I believe God has a plan for me. I gave up during the holidays trying to find a job as I had filled out up to 75 applications and not one bite. As of the first of January, things are picking up. Right now I am looking for anything just to get the bills paid. I believe I will eventually find my “dream” job down here.
If any of you FReepers can spare me a prayer, it would be much appreciated. God Bless!

The reason she locked herself out was so that you could to stop to help, and also by doing so, you would be ignored by the employer's wife. All set up and then witnessed by heaven.
The previous employer's wife was the conduit for blessing, that's how the Divine Rectification process works. Kind of like the unmerited insults posted on this forum by the diplomacy-challenged. If those folks knew what they were doing, they wouldn't do that. :)

It’s all in the timing. You put in the applications, seek with proper diligence, and then God does the heavy lifting.
It could very well be, that the “delay” is only that the job He’s got lined up for you isn’t quite available yet. It may even require a “placemarker” job or two to get you there. It only looks like nothing is happening.
The weirder the situation, the more it shouts Divine Orchestration. The best rewards follow the most bizarre and unlikely chains of events.
Here’s a prayers for you—for encouragement...

I have come to truly believe that. I was depressed for quite a while, but I now know my time will come. If I have to take a few low end jobs to get on my feet I will do that. But I feel that positive energy is shining on me and things will turn. Thank you for your prayers! God Bless!

I know it is a fact. Lived it many times over the years so at some point I had to say, “Wait, whoah, what are the odds?”. There are no odds; it’s all orchestrated. And I mean in amazing detail.
It’s a paradigm shift. When that happens it becomes possible to view unpleasant situations in real time and contemplate what the plot line might be. People would be shocked at what’s sitting in plain sight.
Joseph in Egypt. It’s like that. All his misfortune. What on earth, senseless. Then one day he starts out as a prisoner and ends up as prime minister.
Ah, then it all started to make sense. The brothers came down... and well oh my, there was a major rectification process that had been in the works all along! They hated Joseph! And it all got flipped around.
It’s the craziest stuff. The Bible stories are of real people and the Divinely orchestrated plots of their lives, not a bunch of lofty types strolling along in flowing robes and never cracking a smile much less a joke. Well, except for the Gotcha! game religious experts in the NT. Now those people, they needed to get with the program. :)
I am praying that you get a funny jolt of the Divine world of weird so you can laugh and take heart! God really has a clever way of turning apparent curses into blessings. I mean a guy named Trump, trumping the Establishment? What are the odds? There you go...
With God all things are possible.

I was fired just before Christmas, losing both my job and my home (I live on the ranches I work on).
Glad to hear about the good news. How long have you been living on ranches and where are they located? Are you a real life cowboy ? If so, that's pretty cool........
