Agree with what you’re saying, but notice the tension has shifted.
Used to be an inherent tension between the free press and the government.
Now that the the press has become a part of the government, the tension / watchdog role has shifted to the citizenry, with the press needing to cover its own ass as well as it’s master’s.
The PTB now want the citizen journalists to have the power when it serves them (BLM) but not when it exposes them (Daleiden vs Planned Parenthood/ baby parts.)
How to control these citizen journalists? That is the question.

The difference between Roosevelt and Churchill and Hillary is that Hillary’s secret is exposed, probably because there are more cameras and independent sources of news and opinion now.

Well, if what I heard today at work is any indication I think Mr. Woods conclusion is in the wrong direction.
When the subject was brought up at work today in a “hallway meeting”, Hitlery just got a BIG boost from her fans. The sympathy vote went way up for her as well as the “martyr” vote.
These people think she is so brave being in NYC at the event even though she is suffering from “pneumonia”.
These are highly paid engineers and business people! People who are suppose to be very smart!
God help us ... this “Hilary is sick” stuff is actually going to boost her numbers up and make the repubs look bad always talking about it and bring it up. The issues in this election will be completely ignored going forward.
I have had this happen more and more often lately. Almost Always on my iPad.
FR does not seem to present a problem yet but over on 0Hedge there was an article on Soros that would continually shut down Safari within 10 seconds of clicking on it. On its own I would just assume that it was some bad script causing the page to fail but there seems to be a pattern. I get the same thing with many major news links and they are always pages with subjects that might not be seen as progressive. Just saying.
I thought about mentioning this in the past but figured it was just my imagination.
And Pravda TV went from “It was sweltering hot out there!” to “What a champ she was for powering through pneumonia!” in the same 12 hours.

Someone with pneumonia stops and hugs a 7 year old girl? (after “Hillary” left Chelsea’s apartment) Some types of pneumonia are contagious. Simple contact is not a serious risk, you most likely only get a mild respiratory inflammation. But would the potential president take that chance? OK well, Hillary might...

I read not long afterward that Hillary’s people were out looking for bystanders with video of it, not a word anywhere today, not a word on the news.
A police officer about 15 feet away said he watched her faint, not a word anywhere today about that either.
And stories about the double...I try to stay away from conspiracy theories, preferring to deal with facts, but it does look suspicious, the woman who left Chelsea’s apartment is thinner, looks younger in general, and there was not a Secret Service guy in sight. Since when do they let any candidate walk out onto the street not surrounded by SS agents?
Here are some of the pictures, make up your own mind, but I see a different nose and a woman who looks younger and thinner in general. I’m still not convinced, but it does sound like something the Clintons would try to pull off.

The problem he didn't realize is that polio may wreak less cognitive damage than a stroke (I'm not a doctor/nurse, so I may be wrong.)
