Director Steven Spielberg and star Harrison Ford will make a fifth “Indiana Jones” film, to screen July 19, 2019, Disney announced Tuesday.
The release from the studio describes “a fifth epic adventure in the blockbuster series,” adding: “Steven Spielberg, who directed all four previous films, will helm the as-yet-untitled project with star Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role. Franchise veterans Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce.”
Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn called the Jones character “one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history,” adding, “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

Still, it would be fun to see Indy crack the bull whip on some smelly hippies! Unless this movie has Indy recalling adventures of his younger days, played by a new, young actor (been done already), this movies will take place some 10 years after “Crystal Skull” which would be about 1967, the “Summer of Love.”

Sean Connery was born in 1930. The Last Crusade was 1989. He was 59 in that. Harrison Ford is currently 73 years old. As an aside, in Star Wars, Sir Alec Guinness was 63 playing Ben Kenobi.
In the latest iteration, Mark Hamill is 64 playing Luke.
All ages are based on release dates of the movies, not when they were actually filmed.
Wow,considering how long Connery has been around, I thought he was older then that. Ford is only 12 year younger then Connery!

Talk about sad and pathetic. Who wants to see a 75yr old ‘action hero’ ? That franchise has become a farce. Think kids are gonna want to buy grandpa Indy toys? Maybe they can make some that stagger, fall down a lot and mumble!

Why would it take three years to make this movie?
They took forever to make the last one because they could not get a decent script and after all of that we got Indy and the Space Aliens.
