Stop pushing that lie. Trump’s sister testified in Alito’s appointment nomination.

Trump has said he’d appoint Justices similar to his favorite Justice, Clarence Thomas.

Trump has said he knows his sis cannot be appointed and that she would not be interested.

So, just stop.

Those two have one vote each in the Senate, that’s it. Nobody would support Cruz on anything and Rubio is out.

The man who has the bully pulpit of public opinion is Donald J. Trump.

Trump winning neutralizes any leverage Cruz had Trump won’t care enough he has no clue how to select a justice thought his sister would be great and she is a hard core leftist who favors partial birth abortion.

Just Thursday Trump said Scalia and Thomas were the type of Judges he would select.

RIP Justice Scalia.

I agree. This is one issue that the corrupt, post-17 Amendment ratified, RINO-controlled Senate cannot let federal officials outside the Senate steal their power to confirm a justice in order to protect their voting records.

And this is an election year nonetheless. Confirm the wrong person to the Court and incumbent senators are fired !

In fact, patriots need to fire enough of the RINOs in corrupt Congress this election year to end up with 2/3 conservative supermajority control of each House. The new conservative Congress could then fire the Supreme Court !

Its time to permanently neutralize this lawless bunch of degenerates who call themselves the Supreme Court.

No vote on ANY nomination by the communist enemy in the White House, then 7 new appointees by Trump bringing the number to 15, thereby taking this current menagerie of homosexuals, eggheads, marxists and blackmail victims out of any position to stop a hard right agenda to make this country great again.

This is an opportunity from GOD.

The war on the least important branch of government who has assumed unconstitutional and dictatorial powers and is complicit in the degeneration of the United States has begun.

The point is that Cruz and Rubio are fellow Senators with McConnell. They must be the ones to question where McConnell's loyalties lie, and make it toxic for McConnell to do anything but lay the groundwork for the next Republican President, not for Obama.

They have to be the ones to ask their fellow Republican Senators what team they're playing for.

I don’t see that happening. I think Obama knows that the nominee has to be somewhat Conservative, since a Conservative is being replaced. He’ll shove some “Moderate” white guy down our throats, thinking that Conservatives will go for it. But he will vote just as liberal as the others.

Gator,
I am going to have to disagree with you. A Marxist tool will follow his upbringing. He won't appoint an unbiased jurist. His only tokens were in the Defense Department so he could blame someone should things get hot. His Czars have been tools. His Cabinet Secretaries are worse than tools. Its tools at the UN. Tools for the prior Court appointments. Tools for the Commissions and Labor Boards.

The guy is a machine leftist and there are not any other choices for such a pile of prejudice. He will nominate a Tool and we are going to have to expose it..

We need to express our horror at what his tool will birth in our legal system. The confirmation is a political process and we better damn well make it one.

This is incredibly consequential considering the 5-4 make-up of the court, and considering that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been widely rumored to be considering leaving the court.

If Obama is able to replace Scalia and Ginsburg the Supreme Court could shift to 3-6 in favor of liberal ideological worldview prior to the end of President Obama’s term in office.

Scalia’s unexpected passing sets up a politically charged battle to replace him. Mere moments after his death was confirmed, Conn Carroll, a key staffer for Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), promised Republicans would block anyone that Obama nominated.

“Background on First Political ‘Assassination’

For those who have not been following this, UR’s Washington Insider described how long time Democratic Operative Kam Kuwata (who set up the 2008 Denver Democratic convention and ran Hillary’s West Coast campaign) was found inexplicably murdered after he informed some other Democrats of Obama being carried into a room, weird chanting and suddenly emerging as if he was a new man only moments later. (I know – it sounds preposterous but read the comments in the above linked article and trace the evidence yourself.) Kuwata was Diane Feinstein’s aide and longtime friend.

The actual timeline is much stranger and happens this way:
•Tony West – an attorney at the law firm defending Barack Obama’s birth certificate matters raises $65 Million for Barack Obama’s election. His sister-in-law Kamala Harris is the District Attorney for San Francisco.
•Kam Kuwata tells others (likely Sen. Feinstein) of weird Obama stuff he saw at the convention.
•Obama elected with huge illegal campaign (25% of what he raises) coming through a SINGLE California bank) much from Tony West. Rumors swirl of up to $300 Million in undeclared campaign contributions are not reported or those donors.
•Feinstein’s aide and Kuwata’s business partner BOTH indicted and sent to prison by soon to be Dem Governor Cuomo of NY.
•Kuwata works against CA Attorney General Kamala Harris to put in a CA AG who can investigate Obama campaign donations.
•A few months later highly active Kuwata found 2 weeks dead in his apartment.
•The same month Tony West is appointed as Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division reporting to Eric Holder at the Department of (so called) Justice.
•At Kuwata’s memorial, Feinstein very strangely “scooped” the President with the news of Osama Bin Laden death by 1 hour. Feinstein and intelligence knew of OBL location since January. Some wonder if this was a warning to Obama.
•DOJ does not investigate Kuwata’s death.
•A month later, former CA Obama Committee chairwoman embezzles millions in funds from Feinstein’s campaign and others including Obama’s CA funds. This critically impairs Feinstein’s reelection hopes.
•Feinstein charged with ethics violations.
•Kamala Harris found to be in pocket of public sector unions scuttling initiative on their behalf.
•Kamala Harris named Co-Chairwoman of the Obama Campaign.
•CA AG Kamala Harrisand the NY AG replacing Gov Cuomo refuse to follow the law on failed mortgages, threatening the FDIC and creating a $25 Billion Mortgage settlement that: ◦Gives 70% of the money to government programs
â—¦Penalizes stockholders, brokers who never admitted guilt in due process
â—¦Allows the REAL perpetrators of the mortgage crisis (both public and private) to skate without ANY prosecution. (Very good explanation here.)
â—¦It also gives her a slush fund of over $1 Billion to preside over.

•Tony West is appointed Assistant Attorney General of the United States under Eric Holder.
•American Bar Association Journal reports Kamala Harris be considered as next Supreme Court Justice replacing Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Crazy stuff, huh? You have no idea.”

First Trump sister is a radical pro partial birth abortion judge. It was documented in a book long before Trump considered running for anything.

There is the documentation. Are you really f’n stupid enough to think he wouldn’t seek his sis’s advice on who to appoint?

SERIOUSLY???

Crawl under a rock, not everyone is a sheep like you.

History Lesson:

Dirksen lets a sitting Judge’s elevation to Chief Justice die during an election year.

From the Senate site:

In June 1968, Chief Justice Earl Warren informed President Lyndon Johnson that he planned to retire from the Supreme Court. Concern that Richard Nixon might win the presidency later that year and get to choose his successor dictated Warren’s timing.

In the final months of his presidency, Johnson shared Warren’s concerns about Nixon and welcomed the opportunity to add his third appointee to the Court. To replace Warren, he nominated Associate Justice Abe Fortas, his longtime confidant. Anticipating Senate concerns about the prospective chief justice’s liberal opinions, Johnson simultaneously declared his intention to fill the vacancy created by Fortas’ elevation with Appeals Court Judge Homer Thornberry. The president believed that Thornberry, a Texan, would mollify skeptical southern senators.

A seasoned Senate vote-counter, Johnson concluded that despite filibuster warnings he just barely had the support to confirm Fortas. The president took encouragement from indications that his former Senate mentor, Richard Russell, and Republican Minority Leader Everett Dirksen would support Fortas, whose legal brilliance both men respected.

The president soon lost Russell’s support, however, because of administration delays in nominating his candidate to a Georgia federal judgeship. Johnson urged Senate leaders to waste no time in convening Fortas’ confirmation hearings. Responding to staff assurances of Dirksen’s continued support, Johnson told an aide, “Just take my word for it. I know [Dirksen]. I know the Senate. If they get this thing drug out very long, we’re going to get beat. Dirksen will leave us.”

Fortas became the first sitting associate justice, nominated for chief justice, to testify at his own confirmation hearing. Those hearings reinforced what some senators already knew about the nominee. As a sitting justice, he regularly attended White House staff meetings; he briefed the president on secret Court deliberations; and, on behalf of the president, he pressured senators who opposed the war in Vietnam. When the Judiciary Committee revealed that Fortas received a privately funded stipend, equivalent to 40 percent of his Court salary, to teach an American University summer course, Dirksen and others withdrew their support. Although the committee recommended confirmation, floor consideration sparked a filibuster.
On October 1, 1968, the Senate failed to invoke cloture. Johnson then withdrew the nomination, privately observing that if he had another term, “the Fortas appointment would have been different.”
