He didn’t say he ‘supports’ them, he said that the kind he would appoint.

It will be interesting to see who is floated. I could not believe that after six years of the worst Attorney General we ended up with another tool that appears to be headed faster down the sewer than the first one.

Both previous court appointees are ridiculous.

I think we are at our best when we are digging up the dirt, finding out the facts, and rooting into the depths of issues.

Well Skooz, you get my first update.

McConnell has already heard I am after his butt. Here is his quote from Yahoo News.

“The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice,” Mitch McConnell said in a statement, referring to the upcoming November general election.

“Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president.”

Here a CNN article cites the “Thurmond Rule” about no nominees in an election year.

Here is a snip (within guidelines) of what CNN has to say about them:

Sri Srinivasan
48, a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit...

Obama first nominated him to the post in 2012, and the Senate confirmed him, 97-0, in May 2013, including votes in support from GOP presidential contenders Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.

Srinivasan also has experience on the other side of the aisle, serving as an assistant to the solicitor general during the George W. Bush administration...

Jane Kelly
who, like Obama, is a 1991 graduate of Harvard Law School, is another person who fits the mold of a younger justice.

...and her nomination to the appeallate court was accelerated by Sen. Chuck Grassley, anIowa Republican and now the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. She was confirmed 96-0 in April 2013.

Merrick Garland
is older than Srinivasan and Kelly but has often been mentioned when there is an opening. Garland is the chief judge of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, nominated by President Bill Clinton. He is thought of as a moderate.

Amy Klobuchar
The senior senator from Minnesota
