A Malaysia woman was allegedly abused by her husband over a wrong Facebook tag on their baby's photo.
Her husband saw a photo of their baby tagged with the name 'SH Dato Lee' which led him to physically assault her.
Ms Stella Ooi, from Penang, wrote about the incident on her Facebook page on Jan 30.
She claimed that SH Dato Lee is neither her friend nor her "Facebook friend".
"Anyone can tag photos posted on Facebook," she wrote.
She continued: "For this matter, I was beaten up to this state."
Ms Ooi also shared several photos of her badly bruised face, arms and legs.
Oh my...
I once worked on a court case in which a husband beat up his wife because he thought she had contracted “syphilitis.” As it turned out, she had been ill with encephalitis. I hope she divorced the idiot.
In before “no thanks”
No excuse for laying a hand to a woman...none, period
Love your kitties by the way. : )
They gonna blame gun owners for this?
A lot of us are boycotting FB.
Depends on the situation, but just hell no in this case, and according to the article she left the bastard.
Lets bring more folks like that here.
A list of social media I have never used and probably never will:
All of ‘em, unless you count FR as such, then this is the only one.
When a woman strikes first you can lay hands on them but in general, you’re right. You can’t hit a woman, they don’t know how to fall, they just kind of crumple like a sack of potatoes. (paraphrasing Bill Burr).
(It may nbot be true, but I'll say it!)
Some people think that anything you see through the computer is reliable. Wrong.
I doubt you could come up with a scenario where I could justify it.
A small disagreement from me: There is no excuse to lay an offensive hand on a woman. These days, many women feel free to beat up on men. Using a minimal amount of force to stop the incoming physical abuse is no vice, IMO.
Beating up your wife is just stupid, anyway. That's the woman you go to sleep with.
Doesn’t matter, female OR male. Physical violence should be dealt with through being reported to the proper authorities IMO.
She may be permanently blinded in that right eye.
For him to be this violent without any proof makes me wonder if the ex-husband has been cheating too, but feels guilty and overcompensates his ‘righteous anger’.
Easy - in a bar, a woman picks up a beer bottle and smacks a man over the head with it, then proceeds to continue the attack.
The man has every right - indeed has a duty - to protect himself with a judicious use of force.
But, just the same as a fight between men, he has a duty to use only necessary force.
Anyone know the primary religion of Malaysia? Anybody?
We must agree to disagree my friend.
