It did not help that Skyfall was just not a good Bond movie.

Too pale for Bond. Bond’s a jetsetter, flying to tropical locales, and skindiving with buxom beauties. We don’t need a Bond that starts crisping if he doesn’t slather on 100 SPF.

He was fantastic in “Band of Brothers” but I think he is gonna need some sun and hair dye to play Bond.

Agree. No more metrosexual Bonds. I have liked Daniel Craig mainly because he does work at the rough essence of Bond. Connery set the standard. I thought Hugh Jackman could do Bond, but he it getting a bit up there in age. Any young, swarthy British actors coming up that we can consider? No to Cumberbatch, Redmayne, Cavill, etc......all good actors but not tough enough to be Bond.

I agree. I've always thought Clive Owen should be the next Bond, but I'd like to see Daniel Craig do a few more before moving on.

Craig is my personal favorite. He lasted through 3 so far. That’s not bad. There are a LOT of Bond movies. You’re gonna churn through a lot of actors, as it is with Dr. Who.

Hope he isn’t an anti-gun libtard actor.

I met Andy Lincoln here in L.A twice and he’s a short guy. Bond in the books is more than 6 ft tall. Yes, he does throw people for a loop when he speaks with his real accent LOL

Damian Lewis is an excellent actor, but he’s not James Bond.

Yeah...a flaming redhead as a top level spy. He’ll blend in really well. Effin’ nonsense.

How about Chris Hemsworth? Or maybe in a few years, younger brother Liam? I think either could do the job quite well!

Great - a metro-sexual Bond. It’s insidious and creeping into all places.

He definitely brought a hard core, no nonsense attitude to the part. They should look at re-making some of those tragic Roger Moore-Bond movies that had good story lines but the comedy/sex ruined them and by the time they were done it nearly ruined the whole Bond experience.

Absolutely. Some of those were nothing more than live action cartoons and pretty much turned me off to the whole Bond thing altogether. At this point they are all the same movie, the only thing that changes are the villains and gadgets.

Thought of two more, the previously mentioned Clive Owen or maybe Richard Armitage? Bond needs to be rough and tumble. Lewis may be a good actor but he doesn’t exude toughness.
