If you’ve ever been to a public shooting range you might have experienced long lines to check in, buy targets and buy ammo. Well one shooting range in Pennsylvania is taking a more efficient approach to selling the ammo.

The Beaver Valley Rifle & Pistol Club has installed a vending machine for ammo at their range.

Also, the guy who installed it? He’s running for county sheriff. Sam Piccinini is a Republican candidate for sheriff who also owns the small ammo company that operates the machine.

Or you could just stop at Wal-Mart on your way to the range. If what you need is in stock the difference in price will pay for your range time.

Put some .22LR in this and see how many tries people are willing to take before they win or give up.

That’s one brave dude. Sharpton and Co. will have a field day with this if they find out he’s running.

Well, buying .22LR out of a claw machine would be cheaper...

...because “ATF” should be the name of a convenience store chain, not a government agency.

True, but the convenience has some value - especially for an impromptu event; like maybe not taking enough to finish sighting in that new weapon or discovering that the person with you enjoys shooting for the first time and you want to encourage them.

And, if the vending machine malfunctions, you can get your own change!

Easier to just throw it in the car before heading out to the range.

What is “controversial” about this?

This is an idea whose time has come.
