Has a single officer in this country been killed by a dog in the last 50 years?

So should I have the right to protect myself from a police attack dog? Just asking?

The chief's whiny indignation was the icing on this particular cake.

The man apparently has forgotten who he originally was to protect & serve and instead acts as though he's part of a ruling elite.

The police are out of control. They can kill with impunity. We need to disband law enforcement as we know it today. They no longer work for us.

Extremely unprofessional of the chief. He should be canned, along with that murderous dog-killer cop.

Officer Brett Olsen, the shooter in the incident, had barged into the dog's yard at the time, while searching for a missing child in the neighborhood. He hadn't sought permission, and he apparently made no effort to back out. But he was there.

I wonder if government official Police Chief Chris Burbank understands this dog, on it's own property, in it's own yard did exactly what any other dog would do when someone enters unannounced.

Government official Police Chief Chris Burbank should be fired for his comments alone.

All I know that if some jerk with a badge comes in my yard or my house and shoots my dog we gonna have a problem. The dog was protecting his/her territory. It’s what a dog does. We have a black lab, she will bark at you if she don’t know you.

"...this community continues to approach interactions with the police department in a respectful manner."

After your police department decides their JOB is to approach interactions with the community in RESPECTFUL MANNER, Chief.

Arrogant prick.

My somewhat senile father has a habit of calling the cops if she doesn’t hear from me in 2 or 3 days. Nothing like seeing a bunch of blue coming up the front porch without any idea of what is going on. I scream at them: I own a dog! I have a dog! My dog is sleeping on the couch! Maybe it’s my big mouth but it makes them very defensive and somewhat embarrassed. They’ve never hurt my pooch yet.

burbank is just another useless libtard who won’t enforce immigration laws.

the same clown who kept a perv officer on paid administrative leave (aka paid vacation) for seven months so he could qualify for a pension.

The police state, with arrogant cops doing whatever they please, with little or no regard for the law and rights of citizens, is too over the top for people to tolerate anymore. In this case the cop could have knocked on the door, and asked for permission to check the backyard for the little boy, but he chose to rush in like a hero. He was lucky the neighbor didn’t have several rottweilers back there.

The fact that people are upset about dogs being fair game for trigger happy cops doesn’t in anyway imply that people don’t care about innocent humans being killed by cops. We are sick of all of it. This idiot Police Chief needs to take heed.

Whudya think Nully.....is this JBT a candidate for his picture being included on the wolfie-ette’s bedroom ceiling collection? I know it is probably getting crowded up there but wolfie-ette is always ready to make room for another one to give a ‘hand’ to!

Dog lovers need to parade peacefully around the police station day and night, carrying pictures of the dog.
Say nothing. Carry no arms. If a marcher would occasionally “bark”, that would make it more interesting.

What do you expect, they have a gun that is by their side and most of them have never used and the itch to killing something is just to strong to resist.

A dog is an easy target, it has no gun to shoot them first, presto dead dog.
