Actually, the Pon Farr does not impede Vulcans from having normal relations.

Having said that, bringing in Khan like this is a disaster. They couldn’t find a capable Latino or East Indian actor to do this?

Fan boys love spoilers. It’s part of the culture now to know the movie before you see it.

The PC-ness of gay loving, political agenda driven Hollywood is enough to gag a maggot. I’ll wait till this drek comes on TV.

Of coarse the young indoctrinated minds will eat this stuff up...on Dads dollar.

This will kill Star Trek forever. It died pathetically, like a broken man with dementia pumped full of pain killers.

Next up will be abrams killing Star Wars.

Unfortunately, yes, they will. Including my wife.

Who won’t take me because I truly hated the reboot and she claims I spoiled it for her. I even tried to force my imagination to consider it solely as its own entity without any relationship to other Trek stuff. STILL hated it; maybe even hated it more.

For most people seeing this, I suspect this is not a “reboot” any more tan the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century TV show was a reboot of the Buck Rogers serials. To these youngsters, it IS Trek. So, yes, it will make its money.

That image needs tons of lens flare and heavy use of blue filter.

I guess they had to demolish Vulcn culture in that reboot.

Hell, they had to demolish Vulcans in that reboot. They are now an "endangered species".

I had to laugh at this person when he seemed to be upset that they had completely redone the "Wrath of Khan" movie with a different ending. Star Trek lore and mythology means nothing to Abrams, he is re-booting the series and making it his own. He is not interested in redoing what Gene Roddenberry had envisioned; he is making Star Trek his own, and that means changing things around.

Now, I don't think Wrath of Khan needed any re-doing -- it is, by far, the best Trek film. But, I don't have any say in this, so thats, that. I'm not sure I want to go to this one, though; partly because I liked the original Wrath of Khan so much I don't want that spoiled.
