Vladimir I. shCherbak of al-Farabi Kazakh National University of Kazakhstan, and Maxim A. Makukov of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute, hypothesize that an intelligent signal embedded in our genetic code would be a mathematical and semantic message that cannot be accounted for by Darwinian evolution. They call it biological SETI. Whats more, they argue that the scheme has much greater longevity and chance of detecting E.T. than a transient extraterrestrial radio transmission.
Writing in the journal Icarus, they assert: Once fixed, the code might stay unchanged over cosmological timescales; in fact, it is the most durable construct known. Therefore it represents an exceptionally reliable storage for an intelligent signature...."
To pass the designer label test, any patterns in the genetic code must be highly statistically significant and possess intelligent-like features that are inconsistent with any natural know process, say the authors.
They go on to argue that their detailed analysis that the human genome (map here) displays a thorough precision-type orderliness in the mapping between DNAs nucleotides and amino acids. Simple arrangements of the code reveal an ensemble of arithmetical and ideographical patterns of symbolic language. They say this includes the use of decimal notation, logical transformations, and the use of the abstract symbol of zero. Accurate and systematic, these underlying patterns appear as a product of precision logic and nontrivial computing, they assert.

We know so little about the origin of life on Earth it seems presumptive to identify genetic structure that supposedly defies a natural explanation. Even the discovery of life elsewhere in the solar system would not provide an independent test of this idea. Panspermia could have naturally occurred among the planets and moons.
And, even if the genetic code is ultimately considered the handprint of an extraterrestrial grand designer, then who designed the designer?

“I assume you are alluding to CONTINUED fractions?”
Well, yeah I wasn’t really clear on that point, maybe I should have left it off. What I meant, in terms of Pi, is that it looks irrational written as a decimal, but in fact, the only reason it is a significant number to us is because it’s the decimal approximation of a ratio. That ratio isn’t one between two whole numbers, that might produce a repeating fraction, but between two related geometric quantities.
So, if one theoretically constructed a number system using some geometric base rather than our arithmetic one, Pi would be completely rational, and could be approximated exactly. So, I think it’s all a matter of perspective.
“But it is most assuredly not the case that all irrational numbers have every sequence of digits, for instance the number with decimal expansion”
Yes, I stand corrected, you are right. However, since there are an infinite number of irrational numbers between any two whole numbers, or between any two numbers of any kind, for that matter, then it’s obvious that there are still an infinite amount of irrational numbers that DO contain any possible sequence of numbers. By their very nature, it wouldn’t be anything extraordinary at all to find such a thing to be true about any number you random picked.
Whether you can mathematically prove that or not is another matter, but I think it’s a foregone conclusion logically, which is why mathematicians bother to try to prove it in the first place. It’s intuitively true, so someone must find the proof someday, or so it would seem.
Hard to say, but I notice I do approach a great many strangers and say, “Take me to your leader.”
I don’t know why.
Someone was goofin’ around. We ain’t half bad, and more than good- giving any circumstances. Rejoice or lament. Be an ape cousin or a higher being. Your choice for the time being.
If the original system is lost or otherwise no longer available or even once write, self destruct system, then the encrypted message can never be read.
Perhaps the encrypted message asks the “Question That Can Never Be Asked.”
“12 Million Americans Believe Lizard People Run Our Country”
I can’t say I disagree, at least in principal. If the players in Washington took a moment to reveal their true nature, I think we’d all see we have lizard people running our country.
Well... they say God acts in mysterious ways. I think the Bible even says that God started off with mud.
I don't think that was their goal.
If you don’t mind me asking, just what does the STAPLE symbol represent ? I know, I’m a dummy, so help out a guy, would ya?
And yet... how easily we ignore it.
Color me confused.
I bet he kept it to himself.
I was trying to find the ASCII pi symbol. That’s what I found.
Odd, then, how it is that most poorly educated, or lower IQ people have a rather strong faith in the Creator, while it is the 'higher-educated' people who claim there is no 'creator'.
Yes... but you do realize that it is in 'metric' ?
The notion of intelligent design is not necessarily the same thing as Creator with a capital C.
Gee... hope we don't run into this.
Do you know why God made the Universe?
