The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you.
This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks. No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked.
It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread ... there is no telling where it will go and that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!

Several garden catalogs came in the mail, and enough snow fell to cover everything. Most of the snow has already melted, and the catalogs are keeping me busy. Hubby has already underlined enough plants for about 10 times larger space, so culling will be needed no doubt.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Have a good weekend and a Happy New Year. God Bless.
Happy New Year, Gardeners!
Woo hoo! I got vegetable seeds in my stocking, and I walked past the marked-down Christmas decorations at Lowes - right to the unopened boxes of seeds they are getting ready to put out. I’m looking out the window at 6 or 7 inches of snow. Can’t wait until spring!

Pinging the Gardening List.
Here is the link to wintersown. They describe a method to get your garden going now. They also have some free seeds as well as additional seeds for a $5.00 donation.
Also, in case you missed it. Working Class Filth posted a great list of a lot of resources on last week’s thread.
Catalogs in the mail. Haven’t had much of a chance to peruse yet.

If you're looking for seeds, here's a link to even more links.
We’re suppose to get snow tomorrow. So, I set out all my gardening catalogs to look through. Not sure why but that is what I do when it snows... the streets can fill up with the soft, white fluffy stuff but I’m looking at all those glorious seeds. The only problem is I need a yard uh... well, let’s just say I need a farm. I want this, I want that, oh I’d love this and that.... my snow tradition.
Please add me to your ping list.
Thanks. Happy New Year!
Greenhouse nearly done! Will be starting seeds tomorrow or Sat! Happy New Year everybody!
Cant wait until spring!

I know the feeling. Check out the winter sown link. If you have a few milk jugs, it can help with that feeling and get you a head start for Spring. LOL.

LOL. Ain’t it the truth? I am just copying what Red Devil had every week on his thread. However when Rita hit the thread a couple of weeks ago, I did think that maybe I should alter that to nearly impossible, and almost never flamed.
Thanks for the links.
Do you have a patio, or a south or west facing window?
It’s ok by me, if you ask the same questions. I have part timers. Part of the time I remember and part of the time I don’t. LOL.
However, do read the thread as they are usually a very relaxing and sometimes funny thread to read.
