Thirteen years ago, photographer Miyoko Ihara began snapping pictures of the budding relationship between her now 88-year-old grandmother, Misa, and her odd-eyed kitten, Fukumaru. Since Misa found the cat abandoned in a shed, the pair have barely ever been apart. Their beautiful friendship is documented in a photo book, Misao the Big Mama and Fukumaru the Cat.

That’s soooo cute! I have a golden tabby who will do that when I tell him “washa-muh-face”. He will do it when I sense he’s in ‘play mode’. He’ll start with pawing behind his ears and writhe around on the floor. But don’t DARE try to touch him. LOL! I have the scars to prove it. :>3

For dog lovers - The King of Thailand with one of his dogs (when he was in better health). This is dog is a mixed breed 'mutt' not an expensive pedigreed animal. Sets a good example for people in a country that is so obsessed with 'face'.
