With genius, whether mental or physical, frequently comes insanity.
How sad he didn’t have friends nor family close enough to see and help. But that is also an aspect of insanity: the appearance of sanity.
very sad.
He did it his way....
When people are deep in that dark world of suicidal thoughts there aren’t enough friends or family in the world to pull them out.
>>When people are deep in that dark world of suicidal thoughts there arent enough friends or family in the world to pull them out.<<
That is so sadly and deeply true.
I believe it is every man or woman’s right to end their life if they see fit. But I also believe the smallest nudge away from that terrible place of thought can stop it.
All lives are infinitely valuable, but when you are given special gifts it is especially shameful to throw them away.
Prayers for the family...
I think you are right, otherwise the knowledge of what this does to their family and friends would deter them from doing it.
The 29-year-old had been cited for drunken driving Friday in Hailey, Idaho and had pleaded not guilty.
Perhaps this incident had something to do with his self-inflicted death penalty. :( RIP Speedy
You are a supporter of euthanasia?
So true. I know two people who committed suicide and their family and friends were devastated.
“all stemming from a childhood in which he was sexually abused “
I’ll say again:
-Every- molester kills their victims.
Some just take longer to die.
A pox and a plague upon whomever did it.
>>You are a supporter of euthanasia?<<
Euthanasia is OTHERS taking someone’s life.
Using logical fallacies on purpose is a sad way to go through life, son.
He really was a very inspirational person, whenever he landed that hurricane jump it really did make you feel like literally anything could be possible.
Pity.
Did it have something to do with the DUI?
Are you KIDDING?
The nanny state will RUIN YOUR LIFE FOR A YEAR for having a few drinks (.08) before entering your car.
Should you ever do it again you go to jail and your life is ruined FOREVER.
Walk into a courthouse in your town and look at the morning dockets:
MADD and the cops have exercised more power over the everyday lives of regular law-abiding citizens, ashamedly creeping their way around DUI convictions while feeding the courts and lawyers billions, than you can possibly imagine.

“Using logical fallacies...”
You fraud. You advocated euthanasia and then came up with a make believe definition.
Let’s see you contradict Webster’s Dictionary:
Euthanasia:
1 [Now Rare] an easy and painless death
2 act or practice of causing death painlessly, so as to end suffering: advocated by some as a way to deal with persons dying of incurable, painful diseases
Tell me again. Do you support euthanasia or not? And even if we go by your make believe definition, do you support the act of taking one’s own life or not?
Do you support the damnation of people who have severe mental disorders who choose to end their pain? Euthanasia, even with your Webster Definition implies that there is a third party assistant. You should probably rethink your view before you get all high and mighty.
I share your disgust with the system (where I live, I am leery of swishing mouthwash in the AM!), but I was thinking about the loss of his own [5-year-old] sister to a drunk driver.
I was wondering if he had convinced himself that he was no better than his sister’s killer. Sure looks like he had many heavy burdens to carry in his life. Despite his efforts to overcome, the load reached critical mass nonetheless. /keyboard shrink
Sad. :(
