That is so sadly and deeply true.
I believe it is every man or woman’s right to end their life if they see fit. But I also believe the smallest nudge away from that terrible place of thought can stop it.
All lives are infinitely valuable, but when you are given special gifts it is especially shameful to throw them away.

I think you are right, otherwise the knowledge of what this does to their family and friends would deter them from doing it.
