A trivia question no liberal could ever answer correctly.
Would ruin the point if I said the source ^

Think you're smart enough NOT to fall into the trap of thinking like a liberal racialist? Try this on for size: Name the first African-American senator. He's not who you think. He's not even who you think when I tell you he's not who you think. Answer will be posted in the morning, if no-one gets it by then.

Good work. And the fact that Yulee wasn’t born in Africa didn’t throw you.

Why the games? Why not enlighten us and tell us since you’re so sure we won’t get it?

Too late. It’s been gotten. Answered at #30, explained at #31. I said LIBERALS would never get it. I knew I was dealing with SMART people.

And the fact that Yulee wasnt born in Africa didnt throw you. I figured North African parents was good enough. And I couldn't find any senator actually born in Africa itself.
Now I will say that LukeL's guess (#33) of Charles Cathcart is pretty good, since Cathcart was actually born in Madeira, the island off the North African coast, although he entered the Senate a few years after Levy Yulee.

If Thomas Jefferson (not a senator) believed in Moses, the parting of the Red Sea, the Decalogue, circumcision and YHWH, but did not believe in the divine nature of Christ, could we say *he* was Jewish? Very good again . Do we know anything about his mother ?

Liberal torture question: Who is the only President who was a Labor Leader? He was the President of his union.

That’s easy. Hiram Revels (R-MS).
Sure glad they provide the answers in the back of the book.

The one I remember was Edward Brooke of Massachusetts, Republican.

Is Morocco in Africa? I rest my case. :)
Like I said in an earlier post, if someone means “black” when they say “african American”, then they need to say “black”. I like to be precise as possible when I speak.

Good one.
While we're asking these questions, here is my favorite: Which American President was the last to serve as president at a time when there were no living former Presidents?

Forget his name, but if memory serves it was a Republican elected during reconstruction.
There was no popular election for senators then when the first two black senators served. That started (unfortunately) in 1913.

Sort of weird that, once popular election of senators was possible, the three blacks in that office from Illinois were all tards and Democrats.
