MILWAUKEE - A prank turns to terror on Milwaukee's north side.
It happened when a 21-year-old man thought it would be funny to scare his mother when she got home from shopping Thursday night.
He put on a ski mask, confronted her behind their home and pretended to rob her.
That's when she pulled out a .357 revolver and fired several times.
Her son was hit at least twice by bullets, one of them to the groin.
He is in the hospital this morning, but there is no word on his condition.
Officials say they discovered two guns on the scene of the shooting in the 3700 block of N. 13th Street.
2 outta five ain't bad.
“hold muh beer”
Keep this bozo on the Darwin nominee watch list.
It’s all fun and games until.....
This guy at least should get an “honorable mention” in the next Darwin Awards presentation.
I doubt it was a prank. He was robbing his own mom. They’re just both covering up, the mother out of motherly love. The son, because he is a loser, most likely a drug addict and a thief.
...and the nickname “Dickless”.
Reminds me of a guy I knew in college. He went hunting and took some deer antlers put them on his head and went sneaking around his friends in the woods. That he was plalying a prank. He died that day.
Whoops.. Thought he was playing a prank.
Oh wow ...I didn’t think of it from that angle. I’ll bet you are right. You have good detective skills. Are you a LEO?
‘I know you wanted grandkids Ma, but...’
—another news story, alluding to an “obscured” serial number on the gun—

Looks as if mom may be in trouble, more than the son: Officers recovered a blue steel revolver with an obscured serial number from the mother, police said.
If you are going to carry a weapon, you need to know how to use it, and practice it, shooting well is a perishable skill.
You are absolutely correct. In the post above, seems as if the revolver’s serial numbers were “obscured”, so a person carrying that type of protection isn’t very likely to be using much “range-time.” Jes sayin’
