Presenting a brand-spanking-new feature here at Unleashed: "Don't. Just Don't." Here, we'll cover all the ill-advised ideas we silly humans have for dealing with animals. Generally speaking, they don't turn out well. For example:
A Boynton Beach, Fla., man told police that he'd been trying to teach his ill-mannered cat a lesson when he carried it to his garage, where he fired his handgun into a flotation device. The resulting noise, apparently, was intended to scare the animal in an effort to convince it to do its business in the litter box (desired) rather than on the bed (where it apparently left a mess, causing the unfortunate firearm business).

I honestly believe most animlas are smarter than most people.
wont see that on dog whisperer
“Hold muh beer honey, while I learn that cat sumthin...”
Don’t you think Chet, that the would be cat-trainer in this instance would have fared better had he brought a pit bull into the garage, and instructed the pit bull to ‘teach that cat a lesson’?
From my experience, cats are pretty much incapable of being taught much of anything.
This is not funny. Imagine how he treats people he wants to discipline.
And the cat is supposed to equate the shooting of a flotation device in a garage with not going on the bed, how?
Some people really shouldn’t own a gun.He probably won’t be owning one for long. But he’ll still be able to buy beer.
Is there a door to this bedroom? Shut it.
bttt
I have found a better way to talk to your cat is show a lot of love and speak to him often. Believe that he willa t least likely understand you and never get angry with him. Believe it or not it works. They have a far better ability to respond to you when you do the above. And of course never call your cat a rascist.
My cat, sitting on my lap while I was watching TV, reached over to the remote and changed the channel away from Dog Whisperer.
He's an old cat- not playful or anything. He's never tried to do that, or anything like it, at any other time. It wasn't an accidental bumping of it in a stretch or anything. It was a clear and deliberate motion, and I was looking down at him when he did it.
Now no, I don't seriously believe that he understands the remote control- but he did earn a long, contemplative look that night. :-)

“Woman Lives With 130 Cats”
I’m not sure what lesson the cat was trying to teach his man with the inciting event—but I’m guessing his man didn’t learn it.
this guy probably pissed the cat off and going on the bed was a message.
