THURSDAY, June 25 (HealthDay News) -- A 54-million-year-old skull has yielded the first detailed images of a primitive primate brain.

The 1.5-inch-long skull was from an animal species called Ignacius graybullianus, part of a group of primates known as plesiadapiforms. They evolved in the 10 million years after dinosaurs disappeared from the Earth.

According to PETA we still aren’t “so special”.

This headline seems a bit odd but typical of today’s unreasoned soft thinkers. This creature was not human so the correct way to cast this is that this creature which may or may not be a human ancestor was not special but human beings have since they evolved/were created have been very special and have the capability to perform feats that no known creature has ever possessed before on this planet.

I wonder what its DU screen name was.

Not sure, but on FR it went by the name "taxlady."

There were no humans 54 milllion years ago. Now if the headline said "Primates were not once not so special", it might be accurate.
