The father of Sarah Palin's grandchild said Wednesday night that he might pursue legal action against the Alaska governor's family, who he says has cut off communication with him and are no longer letting him see their son Tripp.

Levi Johnston said during an interview on CNN's "Larry King Live" that he has hired an attorney in hopes of compelling former fiancé Bristol Palin to honor his visitation rights.

“I didn’t ask to be thrown into this. I’m not out there looking for fame, I just want to get my story out there,” he said.

Why would he care about "get(ting) my story" out there if he didn't want fame and attention....well he got more attention then he bargained for. You go to bed with the MSM and get fleas.

If it meant that much to him (it didnt) he should have married the woman, he didnt. The guy is way to selfish and into himself.

Getting thrust into the national spotlight as a conservative has really brought the attacks against the Palin’s. They are hit from all sides relentlessly.

So I guess the next big story is Larry King’s quest to find out where Levi and Bristol conceived their child? Is this sick or am I living in an alternate universe?

If the child were conceived in the Palin household does that suggest approval of extramarital sex by Sarah Palin?
If the child were conceived in Levi’s mother’s home, does that suggest Palin was irresponsible in not locking up her daughter?
What are they suggesting? Is Sarah responsible for each and every decision made by her daughter? Liberals should tread softly with this one, they have more to lose. Their children rebel and push the envelope far more than most (example: Biden’s daughter).

I think she cut it off with him actually.

I'm Sarah's biggest fan but the boy has a right to his child same as they do.

They should not get married if they already loathe one another at this early juncture.

Sarah and Todd will do most of the rearing as would I in that circumstance but I would never withhold him from his daddy for interaction and whatnot up to whatever point the dad was mature enough or capable enough for.

I have a cousin who was sort of like this. She married the boy preggers at 18 her senior year and after 2 years decided this sucked and started cheating on him and left the daddy who actually was good for the child.

The dad at 20 now had custody and is raising the child with his parents and my cousin and her folks (my first cousins) are on visitation now.

I don't know exactly what the Palin circumstances are but the dad has rights.

and btw....what his mom does wrong is more about her unless he's charged too, folks here think that ruins it for him...not so

Liberals always skate.

Per Levi Punkstons own words he has little chance at winning a custody battle. No work, no perspective, no regular income, druggie mother... any reasonable court would send the Punkstons away packing.

If he is so interested in his son’s well being he wouldn’t have broken up the engagement and washing his dirty laundry on national TV.

During one of the previous interviews he envisioned his future “maybe for a modeling or acting gig”, and now a “source” mentions that he is looking to “write a book” to cash in and “win the custody” for the baby.

If this punk had any sense, he’d enlist to earn and learn some respect.

unless they have a custody agreement and court approved or court recorded agreement of child support then I doubt that just a month after they called off their marriage that he is “not paying child support” since it’s a bit early for such a mandate to even be in effect much less for him to already be late

I could be wrong, if you ahve proof please let’ see it

I’m under the impression she broke off the engagement.

All those issues you raised (true, applicable or not) will not deprive him of a relationship with his child unless he doesn’t want one.

How do I know this?

becuase I went through it from his angle

I am broken glass Sarah supporter but they will not be able to keep the dad away from the child if he wants to be in the child’s life.

That is serious precedent in family court and thank God otherwise moms would win everytime with the possession rule.

While the Palin's were always defending the Johnstons against accusations and attacks, all they got back was a sickening smearing by Levi and his "family" on national TV. The Johnstons have no respect, least for themselves, and don't deserve anything.

He slandered and called Governor Palin a liar and still wants to visit their house? Or does he want to take the child to his house where his drug-peddling mom lives?

Per his own words he and Bristol broke off the engagement mutually. He probably has changed the story now several times to smear her... but before her went selling his soul on National TV he went on the record saying that it was mutual.

He has no work and no regular income. He lives at his mother's house. I think it certainly DOES matter what his mom is doing, because that's where the child would find itself.

I really don’t know the particulars to be fair...I’m not sure who does, but I have been thru this

and I won eventually but it was extremely expensive and long and brutal...really brutal.

The Palins can box him off no doubt with their influence and all but if they really are family values like they say then I don’t see them keeping a dad that wants to be part of the child’s life from the child.

Once that boy reaches 21, Sarah and Todd will not have preemptive guardianship of the baby without the consent of the dad....in many states..

Alaska could be different.

This really exemplifies the issues with dad’s rights when there is no marriage...it’s not as consistent with precedent as when a marriage is involved.

Most judges welcome a father who wishes to be in the child’s life and will work with that if they believe the dad is sincere...but the mom will still win most disputes unless she is child molesting prostitute incestuous cannibal...but maybe not even then...lol

I eventually won because the judge listened to my daughters after several hard years.

and it cost the price of Harvard 4 years.

and btw....it may surprise you, I think small children should be mostly with mom all things being equal and then later boys should be with dad

I got my girls because their mom looked like Salma Hayek but acted like Jaid Barrymore.

this is hard stuff...a good reason not to get pregnant out of wedlock

Thanks for the three thoughtful posts.

Your opinion of who broke off the engagement is just that...an opinion. I heard she did. You said he did.

Who knows I guess.

They will not keep him from the dad because of his mom but they may ask supervised visits if at the mother's house if she is conducting criminal activity from there.

Aside from his criminally accused mom, how are he and Palin’s daughter any different?

Isn't she living at home too?

He's what? 19?

lol...no court in this country will strip his father rights from him because his life ain't in order at that age

there are losers at 45 who still get to see their kids after custody arrangements

it's common for one side to want the other to just disappear and go away in these disputes but judges don't see it like that and thank God they don't or most men in America would have no shared custody

I love Sarah Palin too...she walks on water to me..

But are you just saying this extralegal stuff because you're fired up defending her position as grandma or because you really think custody should go like this de facto?

courts recognize dad's rights typically...thank God

do you have children or have ever gone thru custody battle?

So he says. I’m inclined to think if he gave that much a damn about his child he wouldn’t be on this ‘bash grandma’ tour. He’s a disgusting tool.
