I'm currently in the process of relocating from Northeastern Vermont to Colorado (leaving a blue state for a red state - woo-hoo!). Very unfortunately, I can't bring all of my pets with me. I've contacted the local shelters, but was told that because neither of them are super young, they would have a great deal of trouble placing them, and since I wouldn't want to have them actually IN the shelter, I'm not willing to go that route. I also tried an on-line classifieds site (petfinder.org), but got some really kooky e-mails, so I took that ad down. I'm hoping FReepers will be more helpful!
About the cats: both are spayed females, completely up to date on their shots. They are both indoor only cats.
Cleo is an older Siamese mix, approaching eleven years old. She was declawed by people who had her before me. She is timid in new situations and with new people, but very, very affectionate once she's comfortable...her favorite bid for attention is a running head butt. ;-) She's my main FReeping companion - stays stationed near the computer. I suspect she may FReep when I'm out of the house, but I have no proof...
Halvah is a five year old Himalayan/Siamese cross. She has a very soft, short coat. Best of both breeds, really! She's very friendly and a little chatty - a testament to her Siamese ancestry. She's not at all shy.
Some pictures the ones of Halvah in particular aren't great because when she's awake, she rubs against my legs if I try to get near her with the camera. Doesn't sit still! ;-) And when she's asleep, her eyes are closed. Grrr...

Wow, they are really beautiful animals. I'd take them in a heartbeat but am deathly allergic to them. Also my dog (85 lb Lab) isn't cat-friendly. My MILs cat swatted her in the face once and that ruined her attitude toward cats permanently.
I'll ask around here at work, will let you know if I find anyone.

Rosie might be up for a road trip! ;) ... Besides, our house is on the way! We can give you a pillow and a meal.
Thank you!
I'm sorry, I can't take them. If I find them a home will you take me to CO with you? LOL
CO is my home state. Been here in VT for almost 3 yrs. I'll never leave my wife ...BUT I MISS COLORADO!!! (snif)
...Though I wish I could take ya up on the meal and place to stay...

Bump!
Thanks!
At your service!
We already have three, or the wife and I would be happy to take those gorgeous kitties. Hope you find a good home for them, they look like they have a lot of personality.
Love the photo of the one cat draped over the exercise machine. What attitude!
He does.

Kitty Ping List alert!
[Freepmail me to get on or off the Kitty Ping List.]
Great!!
Oh, thank you so much!
She's a character all right. ;-) And a lazy bum!
You're quite welcome. Best of luck in finding homes for the furbabies.
And you can't take them because.............?
Always happy to help when furballs are in trouble.
The main reason I'm able to do this move is because I have a friend who I'll be rooming with. However, her apartment complex only allows one pet.
I'm bringing Tam, who is my soulmate - if such a thing can be said about a cat - also because he's had travel experience. I'm driving there, so it'll be quite a trip.
