Humankind has a responsibility to exercise good stewardship over this creation.
Our world is God's gift to us. So we should look to our greatest minds for inspiration in this task.
Thomas Paine is one of those intelligences.

What is termed “Enviromatnetalism” today has nothing at all to do with the environment. It is re-packaged Marxism hiding behind a “green” label
It the latest man made religion with it own list of saints, rituals, liturgy and heresies
Truth is that conservatives have always been environmentally friendly. It’s liberal hypocrites that trash the place. Just look anywhere that liberals go or congregate, always leave trash all over. Conservative leave it cleaner then when they got there.
When I was a boy scout in the 1950s we planted trees. earned a merit badg in Soil and Water conservation. Built brush dams in gullies and ravines to stop erosion. Yes “environmentalism” is a conservative value, but only as an individual virtue, not a government mandate which intrudes into private lives and wallets.
Paine was no conservative, even for his time. His politics were little removed from the “Levelers” of the Puritan rebellion and he reveled in the most sickening excesses of the French Revolution. He would identify with the far left, if alive today.
