The social media giants are stuck in a vise as the Trump campaign look for an edge by accusing the platforms of favoring the other side.

A majority of Americans think social media companies have too much power and influence in politics, and roughly half think major technology companies should be regulated more than they are now, according to a new Pew Research Center survey.

Overall, 72% of U.S. adults say social media companies have too much power and influence in politics today, according to the June 16-22 survey. Far fewer Americans believe the amount of political power these companies hold is about the right amount (21%) or not enough (6%).

Majorities of both Republicans and Democrats believe social media companies wield too much power, but Republicans are particularly likely to express this view. Roughly eight-in-ten Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (82%) think these companies have too much power and influence in politics, compared with 63% of Democrats and Democratic leaners. Democrats, on the other hand, are more likely than Republicans to say these companies have about the right amount of power and influence in politics (28% vs. 13%). Small shares in both parties believe these companies do not have enough power.

Trump and Republicans, who have long held that conservative voices are being suppressed by Silicon Valley liberals reacting to elite media outrage at the president and his supporters.

One man sends an alleged proof of YouTube manipulating Biden’s video count to TGP.

He said:

I just thought you guys would be interested in this. The Biden campaign has just uploaded new ads on his channel and I happened to be refreshing the channel as the videos were being uploaded. The videos had between a few thousand to over 100,000 views within seconds of being uploaded. I wonder if they read the piece you had just put out on the topic? Screenshot from a minute or two after I saw it. Hope you guys can do something with the information. I’d prefer not to receive any credit for providing it.

Photos below:

The videos were only up for a couple of minutes and allegedly YouTube was adding thousands of views to them to show that the American public is interest in Biden.

What do you think about this?

YouTube is manipulating Joe Biden’s video counts to make it look as if people are actually watching his videos. When they are not!

Well... Somebody needs to do it. If it wasn’t YouTube it would likely be the DNC. If Sleepy’s videos only show a couple of thousand or so views... That would be embarrassing.

What is Youtube going to do about the pathetic under 20 cars that showed up for the Biden “car parade” even as the Trump car parade in Miami garnered a staggering 30,000 cars?
Lets see Youtube try to fake that too.

These companies are violating the charter issued to them by Congress. They have been given Congressional blanket immunity from defamation lawsuits by being a “neutral” party; a position they are aggressively and egregiously violating.

The social media companies are as corrupt as the lamestream media, if not more so. Their bias and manipulation of voters is becoming increasingly dangerous and a threat to our political system.

We need to put more pressure on our elected officials to rein in this unchecked and unhealthy power. Public sentiment (i.e., critical mass) is already there to do it.

Congress is of course reluctant to constrain the social media giants so we need to prod them with letters and phone calls and demand that they tell us precisely what they are going to do about it.

*************

ABSOLUTELY! The Founding Fathers never imagined the rise of the professional political class. The rascals have too time for mischief and self-enrichment. We need to limit their tenures for the good of the republic.

They’ll never admit it, but they are 100% committed to the left. Remember the photo of bammy meeting with the heads of the social media? Who’s coordinating their connection with the dems now?

You can not skip a Biden commercial either.

Trump you can skip, Biden no.

But it is just fine because YouTube is a private company even though it is publicly traded and so should never have to follow any sort of rules.

Never object to anything a Private Business is doing. They are holy.

Or object to being arrested for something that is not a crime.

If you do then you are a BAD Conservative.

Are these Biden ads as opposed to videos? Every YouTube video I look at has a Biden ad on top of it. Some are “exit early”, others are not. I get out as soon as I can.

Great idea, but barring a States-Called Constitutional Convention, it will never happen. Imagine 2/3rds of the House and 2/3rds of the Senate voting to approve such a proposal.

Once you snap out of the trace, you may find that view counts are just algorithms (software), like everything on the web.

User view counts do not tell you how many people viewed a video. They report whatever the web owner wants it to be. Someone writes the algorithm Completely fabricated on a per need basis.

Pure, lying evil.

KTLA news showed Trump with his massive rally while showing only closeups of Biden as he has no one attending but reporters. There was one brief shot of people sitting inside circles as they cut way. They lie by omission.
