Nope. IRS website said they didn’t have my direct deposit info, which should be BS because I’ve been on ACH with them for several years, now.
But, what the hey! Filled out the form. Now? Still waiting.
Not on SS here. Still working thankfully and collecting full pay as I tele work, though the work load is lower. Feel a bit guilty for that, because I don’t like taking what I don’t honestly earn.
With that said, my thoughts are this...
If I get the $1200 that I didn’t earn, don’t need and don’t deserve, which, in taking, is doing (albeit infanantecimally minor) damage to our economy, I’m leaning toward this action:
10% to be given to someone who is ACTUALLY financially hurting because of this crisis...round up to an even $200
$750 direct contribution to POTUS re-election campaign
$250 to other accountable and quality local charity, or hold, until I see another specific person who is really struggling financially...to be determined. Or, may donate direct contribution to whomever (GOP) is running against my democRAT representative that voted for impeachment, which is probably the best idea.
I don’t see a way to give it back to the government and I’m not asking, or applying for it, so these seem like the best alternatives.
No, I’m not virtue signaling here, just trying to make the best use of the situation.
And if another undeserved, unnecessary $1200 check arrives, do the sane thing.

No. My wife and I have not received anything. I file tax return every year, even though I don’t have to. IRS doesn’t have our bank account info, but SS does since we receive direct deposit of SS every month.
Yes that definitely helps. My brother lives in Manhattan, the a-hole capital of the world, and he got laid off and right away his insane landlord started threatening to evict him if you can believe it, until they postponed eviction cases till July lol lol which was a great middle finger to his landlord.
You cannot believe this luntic landlord of his, my brother is paying $2600 a month for this one bedroom hole in the wall and his landlord thinks he can get more for the apartment, so he constantly harasses him, puts glue in his lock, pours strange liquids under his door, and shoots off a gun in the basement underneath his apt (he lives on the 1st floor) or he blasts music under his apt 3am. So I got him a lawyer to see if this dirtbag can be sued. What gets me is the cops did nothing to him when he was shooting off his gun, and this is NYC the anti-gun capital of the world.
I think they said if you earned more than $99,000 last year you don’t get anything. If not you will probably get it this week.

I see on the IRS.gov website that if you have not filed yet for 2019 taxes your payment will be withheld until they determine your eligibility from your 2019 tax return, after it's turned in...So I see where my problem lies...
My wife and I both got our money on 4/15. Split the checks right down the middle. She got everything on the left side of the decimal point, I got everything on the right.
