Filing a tax return is a necessary but not sufficient condition for receiving the stimulus.
You must also have provided deposit information, ie, your bank account information.
But even that is not enough. For example, suppose you actually owed money. Even if you provided your account information for the IRS to direct debit your account, you still have to give the IRS your deposit information.
Evidently, the IRS distinguishes between direct deposit and direct debit.
Ps. I read somewhere that anyone who does not have direct deposit may wait until August.

Wholeheartedly agree. Ill take it further and say the leftists enslave us with high taxes, then make it worse with criminal kickbacks to themselves and their cronies and family members.

While there is truth in the latter comment on a short term reaction, long term, I’d prefer to bankrupt the Chicoms for this disaster and confiscate the wealth of the state banks who have enslaved us as a best solution and hope POTUS can accomplish both in his next term.
I do have sincere empathy for those who are genuinely hurting financially from this “invisible enemy”, who though no fault of their own, are struggling to meet even the rent payments that are due.
It’s a mess.
Hopefully resolved soon for everyone and this nation, but I think we come out the other side stronger nationally and internationally.

Meanwhile every Democrat who ran in the primary said they would revoke the tax cuts we have already seen under Donald Trump. This means it will raise your taxes. And when Bill Clinton was president we saw him retroactively raise taxes even on dead people. So we could see the Democrats charge everyone is $1200 that they got this month. And more
I also heard something to the effect of a few weeks for check deliveries on a news cast a few days ago. Sorry, but I do not remember which channel, time slot, or what the announcer was wearing when the broadcast was made.
