McCarthy: “Astonishing” FBI used Discredited Dossier as Source No. 1 to get FISA Warrant – Video
Freedom's Lighthouse ^ | July 22, 2018 | Brian

Here is former U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy today analyzing the redacted FISA documents released by the Justice Department last night. He is very strong in saying he is “shocked” to find that, indeed, the FBI used the unverified and discredited Steele Dossier to justify their need for a FISA Warrant to spy on Carter Page.

McCarthy said he really didn’t think they would do that – that he didn’t think something like this could happen here. But it has. . . .

The judges need to be looked at as well since they’ve stood on the sidelines meekly accepting the fact that they look like fools. Maybe they are so silent because they were corrupt themselves.....why else would the be silent

The judges knew the evidence was fake and they knew the whole FISA process was a sham, but it suited their political purpose and the process provides a legal fig-leaf, a cover, for their actions.

He just didn’t believe people had the balls to pull off these major league crimes.

At least he does not understate the enormity of the crimes.

In fact, the actors could comfortably rely on the 20yr+ criminal history of the Clintons; there was no reason to believe with a President Hillary they would ever be held accountable for their actions.

At the same time, had they not willingly and fully performed their assigned roles there would have been painful retribution.

.............”He just didn’t believe people had the balls to pull off these major league crimes.”

Time, and again we’ve see McCarthy defend his position with no less than total disbelief it could happen, therefore what you posted is accurate to what we have seen ourselves.

He couldn’t believe people had the balls, therefore he didn’t have a grasp on just how the Clinton’s are, and how they work. He’s NOT the only one sharing such naive perspective on the Clinton’s unfortunately.

For what ever reason, the judges feared the power of the Deep State.

What is provided for the investigation of judges in a case like this?

I’m fascinated that someone could be shocked by the FBI violating the Constitution, and acting as a law unto itself. It only has about a seven or eight decade track record for doing exactly that. oh and one president assassinated, and another one removed from office by FBI Monkey Shines.

I wonder if the judges can be interviewed by congress. I know about the whole separation of powers thing but they need to be held to account. Perhaps a nice invitation, perhaps extended through the SCOTUS.

Shouldn’t there be some high level prosecution of the officials and judges who signed off on those bogus FISA warrants? Heads need to roll for this.

Wouldn’t it be helpful to have McCarthy and DeGenova come to the Justice Dept and help clean it out. Starting with Rosenstein and the FBI guy Wray, both of whom should face severe punishment for extending this goofball marathon.

I guess it’s possible that - even knowing that corruption exists - when you live and work inside the system for decades and respect the law yourself, you just can’t believe that others would be quite THIS blatant and corrupt.

Congress created it. They should have oversight authority.

McCarthy’s been running this little schtick for a while now. He capitalizes on his authority as a former U.S. attorney to discount conspiratorial claims about DOJ abuses, and then when it turns out that they did do the things previously discounted, then he says he’s “shocked, shocked, I tell ya’!” But that doesn’t stop him from continuing to discount further claims. He’s still among those claiming that Trump should “accept” the claims of the intelligence community of Russian “meddling”.

I think the Deep State is rapidly becoming a shallow puddle, so shallow that the swamp creatures are being exposed. They may be dangerous, but WE are far more dangerous and there are far more of US.

You know, we concentrate on all the disgusting people and deviant behavior but the solid core of the American people is good, ethical, and corney as it sounds....wholesome. That’s where our courage comes from, that is our strength and I will put that up against the Deep Stater any day of the week, and we would win

That's strange. Don't the docs show that Contreras was not one of the four judges? They show the judges to be Rosemary M. Collyer, Michael W. Mosman, Anne C. Conway, and Raymond J. Dearie.

What am I missing here?

He’s the judge involved in the Flynn plea, who later decided to recuse himself - after the lovebird text messages came out.
