Amateur gunsmiths can be an addiction for some, but man some have gone overboard.
These amateur gunsmithing fails will certainly break your heart.
Need to port your beautiful revolver? Grab a hacksaw, a Dremel and let the metal fly…
Need a scope mount for your Ruger Mini-14 rifle? Well, this guy can hook you up…
This Mosin Nagant rifle gives a new meaning to bolt action…
These used to be Mosin Nagant rifles. This gunsmith was thinking more for concealed carry.

Those are weapons created for the Russian mob. There are people in Russia who make money by going into the woods with metal detectors finding weapons lost during WWII, digging them up, and making them usable again as throwaway assassination guns.
They do work. With two hands you can control those “pistols”.

I don’t know if I should shed tears, throw up, kick someone’s butt around the state (mine is Montana) or all of the above.
...the “welding” job on that Ruger alone is cause for a horsewhipping.

Actually, methinks the recoil on those M/N pistols must be negligible. Considering where the bullet is when actually chambered, there is no “barrel” to speak of. Nearly all the propellant burns when the bullet has exited the muzzle. More like a tool to make the victim, and the shooter, deaf.
