Freedom exists when people are capable of governing themselves. And the capacity to govern oneself is moral.

When people are no longer moral, and no longer capable of governing themselves, and no longer willing to do it, no longer willing to pay the costs of their own decisions, then freedom becomes an intolerable burden and they will be gladly rid of it.

Most people want an earthly king, which socialists will gladly provide.

Most people are taught to fear a theocracy when in fact that is the only form of government that leads to freedom... that is, a republic constituted under the direction of God Almighty himself. Remember, anyone “In God We Trust”?

Choose a Divine King who speaks into the individual souls of individual people and you will have a free country; choose an earthly king and you’ll have a corruptocracy in one form or other every time.

There will never be enough cops to make everyone behave correctly.
(And even if you go down this path, then ‘Who’ determines what is correct behavior?)

SO TRUE.
We all know what the "correct behavior" is: Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. Pretty simple, innit?

We are so blessed to have God's wonderful mercy and forgiveness...if we ask for it.

After the betrayals:

*Judas didn't believe that he could be forgiven. He hanged himself.

**Peter did believe that he could be forgiven. HE became the ROCK [Peter, from the Latin petram] on which Jesus built His Church. Simon bar Jonah; Simon, son of Jonah.

From the Bible, Matthew 16:18
Peter's Confession of Christ
…17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven.
18And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on the earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”…

Simon Peter answers, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus then declares: Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

=================================================

St. Peter became the first vicar of Jesus' Church. There have been the same vicars of Jesus' Church for the last 2000 years.
When one enters St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, one can see the list of ALL the popes, beginning with St. Peter...actually engraved in granite.

.

.

Sorry for being so verbose. I've only had ONE cup of coffee, too. YIKES.

The idea of right and wrong has largely disappeared. Normal people are criticized for thinking that there really is a “right and wrong.”

And here he is again. We and he are just preaching to the converted and saying the same thing in the same way that we agree with.

Some days it is time to just get on with what life you can make and ignore what you can’t change because it is just too late.

“It is never too late.” is a false but hopeful statement seeking comfort for the inevitable at some point.

John Adams, signer of the declaration of independence, the bill of rights and our second President said:

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”

The Law is Dying because Morality is Dying

Secular humanism is one of the foundational worldviews of libtardism. The morality of secular humanism is based on subjectivism, which leads to moral relativism, moral equivalency, moral neutrality, experimental lifestyles, and permissive morality.

As John Adams put it, “Our constitution was made for a moral and religious people.”

No doubt that the concept of personal responsibility is lost on many in our culture.

Goes without saying. Didn’t John Adams say that the Constitution would only work with a moral people. Well, we are no longer overall a moral people.

As I’ve already noted, and as John Adams told us, “Our constitution was made for a moral and religious people.”

BLM and Black Panthers Islamists even hijacked the Super Bowl half time entertainment. Lawlessness is celebrated by Ogabe, he is aiming for total breakdown of our moral, social and political structure, and defeat of Christianity by Islam. The law starts with the Constitution, now in shreds. The republic has become a war zone, make no mistake about it. The enemy is entirely within, being Islam, black racism, progressive anarchy , completely corrupted government, and national political leaders who foment hatred. When law enforcement takes the extreme step of Blowing Up the supposed Lone Gunman, it is no longer a law enforcement action, it is a wartime action.

More than 50 million lives have ended in abortion under the “law”. Law in this country has eroded steadily for the last 50 years, and has almost disappeared in the last 8 years.

Freedom, Faith, Family: that is life under the law.

Also, since we're quoting:

Christian leadership books often quote Proverbs 29:18 as a rationale for a church writing a vision statement. The KJV version reads, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” This wording fits nicely for those who want to persuade others regarding the need for a vision statement. While it is good for leaders to communicate vision, Proverbs 29:18 is not talking about a leader’s vision. Rather, “vision” here refers to special revelation and the principle is that that apart from God’s Word, society quickly spins into moral chaos. The ESV gives this translation of Proverbs 29:18. Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law (Proverbs 29:18, ESV).

You met Jesus? Was that just a one-day experience? Why not meet Jesus every day of your life? If Ravi can be your guide, more power to BOTH of you.
